How does you game fit the theme?
The game has two blocks and one of them IS NOT REAL.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes I did write all the code and I made all the assets from scratch. It was hard :(

The basic idea is fine but I feel it can only be pulled off once (can't make a game out of it). The goal of the game basically boils down to memorizing which tiles are safe. As a player I don't feel motivated to play though each level just on the basis of trial and error alone. Was a good recreation of squid game tho.

The basic idea isn't bad, but it should be pushed further. The player needs indications, a way to deduce or guess what is going to break and what isn't. I think the easiest way to go from there is to think of puzzle mechanics, maybe something like minesweeper where each platform tells you how many adjacent ones are real. I don't know, the choice is yours.  Other than that, the game itself is fine.

Try to visualise how players should be able to win the game without dying, this way you can make the game rewarding. The dice roll ain't it chief.

Good assets though.

Graphics are cool, but the game just isn't fun, you just basically try the remember the ones that break and hope that those that you don't know don't break.

The assets and everything else is good. But like everybody else is writing, the game is missing a good game loop. Where the player can learn how to beat the game. Because in it current state its just having luck that u land on the right platforms. If u fix that then its a very solid game.

What a terrifying game! Good job

The game has a very simple concept that fits the theme very well, but it as a bit monotonous gameplay wise. I really liked the sounds and looks of the game, but I'd suggest not restarting the music everytime you restart a level.

For your first game jam, it is a really really good entry though, very well done!

nice game!

Thank ya

Hey People, I am SinTex the developer of this game. This is my first game jam so yeh. The game is completely about fluke which is based on squid game. Many people want clues sorry but the time wasn't enough to add clues maybe in an update I will, I should've worked on Quality over Quantity but again this is my first game jam I will learn from my mistakes. Thanks for playing and rating the game :)

The game looks awesome! I only don't like the fact that the game isn't about any skills so even if I would be very good at jump and runs I wouldn't be much better in this game... On the other hand the game looks good with the glass and the particles with bloom effect. The level design or variation of levels is a little small but the sounds are good as well.

Nice Game with a simple concept. I didn't play every level as the ones I picked through seemed to be mostly the same. I like the squid game vibes but the gameplay is very repetitive. Good job on the implementation!

I like the squid-game inspired aesthetic, I can tell you put a lot of time into making the assets, but unfortunately I will have to echo the concerns of some of the other comments here which is that having the entire game be essentially guessing and relying on luck gets old quick from a player's point of view.  I could definitely see this concept working if there was some way to identify which glass panes were real or fake, and overall I didn't really find any major bugs so I would say this is not bad for a jam game.

Unfortunately I cannot leave a rating (yet) because the Linux build does not work for me (after main menu everything is black). Maybe I'll try again later on my Windows PC

The game was interesting, saw some comments mentioning Squid Game, but I never watched it :/

If you want to update this, try making it more clear which blocks are real and which ones aren't, it took a bit of time to find the right paths of some levels.

Good job and have fun jamming!! ^^

I think the concept is interesting and is a great take on the theme! However, it just doesn't work, at least as a single player game, as it's not mechanically deep. It's just a game of chance which isn't very fun. You could make it so that the player has to look closely at the glass to see which one is fake, and they would have to complete it in a certain amount before all the grass breaks. Whatever the case, there has to be some player agency or it'll just be a guessing game.

Also, during a game jam you should focus on carefully building and polishing a few levels instead of rushing a lot of levels. You can add more after the game jam if you like the idea.

Still, I think you did an amazing job and I hope you make more games in the future! :D

Thanks because this is my first game jam I didn't really know that but maybe will do that next time

I had a lot of fun playing it! I saw the Squid game too. This game is very well inspired by the Squid game!

Great, simple concept. I guess more of an indicator, or a longer lasting one of which pane is broken would help memorization, at least in the early levels though.  I managed to beat some of the hard levels regardless!

Thanks for making this. I did enjoy it.

The game ran reeeaaally slow on my laptop, I don't have a gaming machine, but still surprised at how much my machine struggled.  A few things I found frustrating were the need to jump between blocks, rather than allowing me to walk between them, requiring me to go back to the menu each time I died (I died a lot 🙃), and as mentioned by a few other people, the lack of indication as to which blocks were real, leaving the game to mostly guessing and remembering which blocks were real.  Overall, this game is really unique, I've never played anything like it and the graphics are really nice.

I really like it, reminds me of squid game

Thanks

It's a cool concept, but I didn't notice any indication as to which panels were real or fake so it was just guessing which doesn't make for very rewarding gameplay. If you give the player a few hints they'll feel smarter for noticing things and it'll feel more fair when they miss them. But still, you did a lot of work to make 25 levels and it looks pretty good! That's something you should be proud of!

Developer

Yes I should have given some clues but it was just too much hard work making the levels.. Thanks!

Submitted(+1)

If you don't mind a bit of advice, it might be better to make less levels and focus a bit more on the gameplay for the next one. While 25 levels is super impressive, most people expect jam games to be on the shorter end. Try for 3-5 really solid levels next time cus you can always add more after the jam :)

Developer

Yes sry this is my first game jam so I don't really know what to do but yes next I will work more on Quality over Quantity.

Submitted

No need to apologize, no one really knows what they're doing for their first game jam lol. Just try your best and have fun! I'm looking forward to what you make in the future!

Developer

Thank you!
