How does you game fit the theme?
The game has two blocks and one of them IS NOT REAL.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes I did write all the code and I made all the assets from scratch. It was hard :(

Nice job on adapting the concept from squid game. And Congrats on making all the assets yourself, that's a huge amount of work! I enjoyed the different looks of the levels, and the music added to that tense atmosphere really well.

I had some fun learning the pattern and trying to memorize it as I went along, but it quickly became a bit of a grind having to go through the menus after each death. It would have been more fun for me if there was a way to improve at the game more fluidly (like memorizing the pattern beforehand) so that I didn't have to go through menus each time.

I was definitely impressed with how many levels you made, great job creating so much in such a short amount of time!

Good Plattformer try and error game. I like the graphics and the matching theme. Keep on the good work. :)

Was fun to play and tense! Love the squid game inspired concept. Well done!

Cool game I wasnt sure if there was any difference though so it was kinda just a guess

Cool replica of Squid Game part. Tense atmosphere. Could not decide that I see a difference between tiles or not.

I enjoyed seeing this Squid Game mechanic turned into a game. Great job!

Great simulation of that Squid Game game. The music and the sound create that atmosphere of tension that gives it a touch, to say the least, maybe it would raise the camera a bit. Good Job.

Great take on the theme! Good atmosphere too. It would be nice to be able to have an idea of where to jump though, aside from trial and error. But, definitely it's a great simulation of that game from Squid Game!

Nice. To be honest, I assume people who play Mirror's Edge or parkour games would find this much easier than me, but I struggle with first-person platformers, I don't know where my feet are, so I tend to either jump too early, or else constantly look down and then I miss your beautiful stylistic scenery. If you like gamedev videos, check out Mark Brown of Game Maker's Toolkit, the "Developing", series - he hit a similar question of skill versus puzzles when designing "Untitled Magnet Game".

Well done on the little details that elevate it - the particles, the broken glass, the sound effects.  A lot of people have already mentioned the atmosphere or the feeling of being immersed, and I got that too. Overall, well done!

Thank you! I would've made it a 3rd person game but I am not really good at animations 😅 and it would've took a lot of time. And I will check out that video. Thanks again

Ooh, I also struggle with animations, although for me I think it's mostly a matter of not having the patience to prioritize learning it. Maybe I could make a tutorial video for you on the topic? (I'm starting out so it probably won't be the greatest video ever, certainly not Mark Brown, but I'm looking for people who will find my videos interesting.)

I will see see you channel. What's its name?

I've been playing Elden Ring all week. I'm not afraid of a little pattern memorization! This was super fun to play. I dig it!

Developer

Thanks! I wish I could play Elden Ring 😞 but its not free 😑.

You captured the thrill and tension of playing that particular squid game and it terrified me as I fell through the broken glass! Well done!

Developer

Thanks!

This Game is pretty fun and uses a fun idea. The only thing is that the idea is not original, which is a real bummer. But music, effects visuals and mainly gameplay are really polished. Well made! =]

You made a visually appealing game from simple shaped assets, good job on that!
I also liked the eery atmosphere you created with you sound design.

I have to be honest that I didn't enjoy the gameplay as progressing further than your previous run was purely based on luck.
As remembering the sequence is the core skill a player needs to succeed in the game you could have flashed the right blocks at the beginning so the player doesn't have to obtain the information by brute-forcing their way forward to obtain the information.

I liked the graphics a lot and the game reminded me of that glass floor game in squid game. Good job with it.

Good concept but I would give the player a way to know where he can step and where not. Otherwise it's just repeat the level over and over until you get it right and that can be frustrating.

Also I would spread the platforms a bit more apart, because in some levels you can just go through the middle to complete it. Keep it up!

The atmosphere of the game was right, Great music and SFX. Bit too repetitive and would be good if you had a power up or something to let you see the real tiles for a second, rather then just trial and error.

Submitted

Nice graphics and sound, but essentially a giant pick-a-pipe. Learning by brute force isn't my kind of fun.

Submitted

Nice game but it's a quite repetitive and it shouldn't be so random. It could be nice to have the possibility to see which platforms are real but maybe you can change the lightning during the game so that you can't see it all the time. So with the time counter the player will somtimes need to choose randomly.

It was lagging for me tho could not really enjoy because of that, but other than that i really liked the concept and visual part of the game.

Really like the assets, the atmosphere was great, but I think the gameplay is missing, try adding some challenges or subtle distinctions to the blocks to indicate which is real, ik some of the later levels have the falling orbs but ideally there should be something like that for most levels. Other than splendid job!
