In what way does your game fit the theme?
Rewind as in back in time. you are playing retro.

Mechanic for the game requires you to restart if your power goes out, causing a rewind.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, only the sound is not made by me or my teamate. we used free assets for that, credited in the files.

Nice game, great atmosphere. Your reflection on the tv is a nice touch.

Developer

Thank you!

No memory cards, no save files. If the light goes out is time to start over haha nice work team! I enjoyed and liked the art style, the idea was presented very well. Thanks!

I would appreaciate some feedback on mine if you like, thanks!

Developer

Thanks for the comment, really appreciated!

Very interesting game! I personally have not played any old retro games, so the fact that the progress didn't save feels annoying. I feel like to counter that a possible map edition may be nice. The visuals and sounds that were included made it feel authentic, so congrats on making this in a week!

Developer(+1)

Thanks man!  what do you mean by map edition?

Submitted

Possibly including a map of the world in the top left. Idk, just a thought I had. It would make it feel like once you know the locations to go, you can easily go back there if reset.

Developer(+1)

I was thinking of maybe a pause in the game that would zoom out the map, most old games at least that I know of wouldn't have a mini map so I didn't know the best way to implement something like that, thanks for the input!

really good concept, the feel i can lose all my progres reminds me when I played ps2

Developer

thank you!

Love the concept! You pulled it off well, audio was a little lacking, but otherwise fantastic!

Developer

thanks for the Critique, What would you have like to hear more or less of in the game, just in game sounds rather than the  rain and thunder?

Submitted(+1)

Very awesome game and cool take on the theme. Very unique and idea and different from other! I enjoyed how you have to explore before your ran out of time! Well Job Buddy!

Great art style.. good job!

I love the screen display and the noisy effect shortly before the power drops. It's a very charming collectible game, well done! Art style is super neat!

Developer(+1)

thank you !

Really like the art style!  I feel the nostalgia even though I never has a chance to played on those old system before.  One feed back is that the aimlessly wondering around for things gets a bit boring though.

Developer

Thanks for the Critique, I tried getting more signs in to lead the player , and even thought about zooming the camera out to help find the items but didn't get the chance to test that.

i had a nostalgic moment Playing this game . i've spent  my childhood playing these type of games .And this game is a well executed game i loved it and had fun playing it , Gratz on submitting and good job !

An atmosphere created by the rain and other sounds suits the theme of the game perfectly. I actually forgot for a moment that I am playing from my laptop in 2020.

Quick question: Do I have to download all three files, or just PowerOut.rar. And how do I run the .rar file?

Developer

you only need the PowerOut.rar right click the file and chose "extract here" it will make a folder and inside it is an .exe file

I like the aesthetic, though its not very apparent what your goals are, and I got lost lol.

Feels like it'd be a great horror game, sort of like the DUCK SEASON VR game.

Not really sure how it adhere to the rewind theme, but good work otherwise!

Developer(+1)

We tried to use the postits to lead the player, the rewind comes from the power cutting out and resting the game after a set amount of time.

I wanted to add more signs in the game to read and help along but I didn't have the time sadly. thank you for the feedback!

Pixel Art very well produced, I liked the silence of the game, it gave me a feeling of suspense. Congratulations, the game was really cool.

Developer

thank you very much!

Someone else that used a tv in their game. I think we might have spoken in the discord xD
I've added your game to my "To play" I'll comment again once I've rated/played

Developer

Im not even in the discord lol I should join, cant wait to hear the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

XD The plot thickens then. Someone else also has a tv in their game and told me about it. So that's a total of 3 peeps with tvs.

Submitted(+1)

Really like the games graphics there really well done. Wasn't really clear on what actually had to do in the game though.

Developer

I tried to make it fit with the theme on the sticky notes but it was a bit difficult, collecting 5 stars in the game wins it. thank you for the feedback!

I'm really digging the ambience of this game, makes me somehow feel like I'm really sitting there. When the power went out it almost felt like a horror game, i was tense to turn the TV on again! Aside from the feel, I also liked your guys style in Art, recreating a gameboy aesthetic. I only have to criticise that sometimes it wasnt clear if i can enter a building, since they didnt seem to have a door but I could not enter anyhow. Also some of the signs should maybe give more tips on what exactly to do. Good job!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the Criticism! I was a bit worried about not giving enough tips but I ran out of time.
