In what way does your game fit the theme?
We took the "rewind" concept and applied it to the core of the gameplay. Whenever you don't follow a sequence properly, the tape will be run back and you'll have to do it again until you go through all the items on the script, to your director's contempt.

If you want to play more levels visit the page!

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All except the rewind sound effect and some shaders were made by us

oddly funny, really loved the concept and art

The style of this was incredible! The audio and visuals worked together perfectly and had such a unique flavour :D The gameplay was great fun too, although I forgot what I was meant to be doing sometimes - a checklist visible at all times might help but might not look great either

You have the script always visible if you press start/esc

Thanks a lot!

Gotta love the style. The controls were a little clunky but this was a cool idea!

I had quite a bit of fun playing this game. The art style and the music mashed very well with the game's theme and the objectives in each of the levels were very funny.

Awesome idea and I love the art style! Adjusting the camera while running is pretty impossible on a keyboard though, I feel it would work a lot better if it was left and right arrow keys rather than Q and E.

Developer

Yeah, the camera was really hard because all the characters are sprites and with the cinemaschine standard free look camera everyone gets inside the buildings hahahah Although, with controller i think it is easier to manage the camera inside the game. All controlers are fully supported! :D

Nice graphics and setting! Gave me a San Andreas vibe

love the art style and the movement. found the controls a little annoying with the keyboard but it felt great with a controller.

Developer

Thanks! We tested always with the gamepad controller. Do you have any suggestions about how to do a better keyboard controls? We are thinking of expand the game in the future with more levels

the only thing i can think of for camera controls such as that with a keyboard would be to also use a mouse. otherwise maybe a camera that follows the player as they turn perhaps

Developer

Got it! Thanks

This is such a cool concept, it's hard to believe this was made in a week!

Developer(+1)

12 hour per day made it possible hahaha. Although, once you have the movement with the animations everything else is using OnTriggerEnter, CompareTag and do the action. If it wasn't the time to do it... "That's not on the script! " *REWIND*

Fucking loved this game! The art and music and everything was incredible.  The camera was a but clunky for navigation and sometimes there would be no-win scenarios (the ninjas walking off the roof before you could fight them), but overall the game was really fun to play!

Developer

Thanks! We are thinking to make more levels and maybe make the ninjas no so clumsy. It's true that one they fall to the ground is difficult to come back and rescue the hostage

The aesthetic for this game is awesome, I really love the style! Personally, I think the missions would have been more fun/interesting if they popped up on a HUD in the top corner, and your tasks flowed into each other. So first it just asks you to parkour the hedge, then switches to go to the gas station, then says to blow it up, etc. Then if you failed one it would just rewind to the last thing you completed. I also had a difficult time finding certain things, like the "market", so some better landmarks in the level design would help. Really fantastic entry though overall, excellent work!

The art style is really special. Apart from maybe the controls (didn't really like that Q & E) are used for the camera) i liked the idea. Good job!

Developer

The art was really important to us since the beginning, thanks! Although the game was initially made for GamePad Controller, that's because the camera is on those keys, it was easier than managing the mouse. 😅

Dang that art style is amazing ! The core mechanic was kind of confusing and wacky but that just added to the experience in my opinion. great game !

Developer

Yeah! Thanks! In the future we'll make a better tutorial. Now i've just updated the description with the controls
