In what way does your game fit the theme?
You have to constantly rewind the cassette to survive
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all of the code myself, and made all the art. But I downloaded most of the audio online

The game is nice, it was challenging which made it fun, the graphics are cool and its nice
could you check out my game too thanks
Cute game. Graphics were nice and the mechanics were nice too. Animations were well done also.
Could you please play and rate my game as well?
Cool Little arcade game you have there!
My complains:
the enemies feels like the enemies so i could touch them
could use a little screen shake every time i take damage
floaty jumps!
Other than that, great job :)
This is a fun little game! Although it's a bit shallow, it is insanely polished and there is great attention to detail (being able to press on screen buttons with key inputs, secondary mapping of pause to "p" to not kick webGL players out of fullscreen, arrows to help guide the player to the location of the next cassette) that make the experience enjoyable for the player. Art style and music are simplistic but at least consistent. I think you have a great grasp of what makes a game fun and this is great for a first game jam! Keep it up!
Well thanks! It really helps to know what did I do right, and I really appreciate the feedback.
(the music was by Mrthenoronha btw, if that's what you meant)
What's funny is that when testing, even if I knew I could press P to pause, I ended up pressing esc out of habit and going out of fullscreen... welp
This game was SO CUTE. I love the little robot and the music that plays. I got more on hard then on normal haha, but I think I was concentrating more haha. The audio and visuals were great. The controls were smooth too. My only comment is that the jumping felt very floaty (and maybe that's how you intended it). I just think it would've felt a little more responsive if the robot fell quicker. Oh, also, your menus are top notch. Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed it.
Thanks! I might try to make the jump better, I wasn't sure about how to do it with the low jump thing implemented (because a small tap would make a really short jump and you'd have to hold for a while to have a good jump, or the opposite, which is what I did) and I guess it just needed more tweaking, but it kinda also is part of its essence.
Cool concept, I've been seeing a lot of "cassette" related games! It's a really popular choice, and this game did well with it :D good job Hope you try mine too https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-4/rate/722968
I really like the game design the game itself just very nice! Stopping the rewinding for me is also something I like for the theme implementation! good job :)
Cool Game Idea, but the music is a bit to loud and I haven't seen something where I am abled to change it.
Interesting idea with a cute robot. One thing that confused me when I started were the little red bits on the enemy robots heads look like buttons and, I assumed it meant you could jump on their heads to deactivate them or something, and I had no idea it was damaging me until I died.
It's quite tricky sometimes but I liked it. The movement initially felt weird but I got used to it quite quick. I like the audio too, nice work!
Hi,
The idea is nice.. sometimes is difficult to avoid the other robots. Good job.
My game is a casual game if you wanna rate is https://misterm.itch.io/mixtape-match ,thanks
