I really liked the idea of shooting each time you move a grid and I actually had a lot of fun spamming the arrow keys for “machine gun mode” haha! I couldn’t really grasp what the random “cards” that we open in the beginning really do, though. Also, as others pointed out, making the player AND the enemies move with each key press would make it more fun and challenging in my opinion.
Good job!
Game difficulty a bit too hard for me until I discover that we can spam move back and forth to shoot out like machine gun. That is the start points of enjoyment.
almost got carpal tunnel from spamming the keys but interesting game!
So i really did enjoythe gameplay but the theme was not quite there.
I just want you to know that when you create a gamethat you click to move and shoot per move action. i just spammed The arrow keys and WASD. So it was not hard at all. in general a good game but the theme is not there for me.
I found this a cool take on Vampires survivor!
Not fully convinced about the control scheme, but if you iterate on it, I think there might be something really cool in it. Currently my main issue with it is that it hurts my fingers to constantly hit the same buttons 😅
Cool concept, but I don´t get why you made the game half grid-based and half real-time.
Completely focusing on one type could have made the game better imo.
The gradual upgrades the enemies got were very cool and innovative though
but does it play badly? moving on cells adds speed control to the player, and enemies on cells would look boring
No it doesn´t play badly, I just found it unusual. Making the player move like the enemies would´ve made the game seem more responsive and fluid imo.
It´s just my opinion though, so if you liked your controls more that´s completely valid :D
Very interesting game.
What I don’t understand, why is the player confined in the grid with “turn based” movement and the enemies freeroam chase you.
Love the unqiue shoot to move concept. I found using WASD and arrows at the same time make you super powerful!
Loved the bomb guy animations! I'd recommend making the UI smaller or have the "how to play" disappear while playing so we get more screen space to navigate and see incoming enemies. :)
The game looks good and is very fun! However the collisions seems unfair and some time there is a lack of feedback
i like it
love this type of roguelike where the enemy buffs are also randomised, very fun!
I like Stiven
Ha! Very nice! Got me on my toes!
The three big bosses got a "Sh!t" out of me
Soild games, the random buff/enemy buff mechanism make the game has replayability.
I have a question about the control mechanism, why don't you using both hold and press event! it maybe conflict with shooting mechanism, but can lead to another good solution,Typing WSAD continuously is a bit tiring :D
overall, good game. Nice work!
during the jam, I didn't figure out how to properly implement the movement when clamped, but now it seems to me that this is a good idea.
I love the animation at the beginning that shows what we're going to get!
Super fun to shoot just by moving. Not too hard, not too easy!
The game is really good, loved the visuals and sound effects! and of course, the core mechanic was fun!
My hand is exhausted from mashing, had fun doing it though!
It is a fun and simple game! Good presentation, everything is clear except the top unlock bar. I suppose it is increasing difficulty. Good job!
I Liked the Graphics and the music. Pretty fun to play. The UI element in the top is a bit too big, especially if enemies are hiding behind it.
Yeah the top bar got in the way a bit. I think making it smaller in general would help, maybe have it temporarily expand when you unlock an upgrade to show off the art if necessary.
Sounds like a good idea! :D
