It's a really audacious attempt, with a clever use of a time mechanic that's on song for the theme. The keys feel a bit clunky - it took me a while to get the hang of the controls and the mechanism (definite PEBCAK), but I like the attempt. I think some sounds and even an ambient track could have enhanced the game experience.

The rewind mechanic is a really cool concept! Havent seen much rewind games yet if any this jam. Loved the artstyle too! The only thing is that it didnt feel as useful as it could be, perhaps the mechanic could be further explored upon :>
This is a very cool game and a super impressive idea! Besides that strange bug we talked about, it's actually a pretty nice game! To be fair, personally, I've never seen TAS manipulation done in any video games I've played, and I am genuinely impressed by the fact that you've even pulled this off! The art is also very nice and clean, which makes this a pretty good-looking game too!
For some criticism, I'd say the game is not incompleted per se, but it feels like it didn't utilise the full potential of the frame manipulation mechanics. I think this is due to the fact that the game feels quite easy, even without the TAS. Making everything harder and more precise should do the trick (just think of those TAS-only tricks). It's a nice touch that we should be able to improve our time, but that still doesn't work for me :(
Anyway, I think this game really has some speedrun potential and leads to a scenario of speedrunning TAS (how can I even put them into the same sentence is beyond me). Well done!
P.S. Scratch again you crazy person
I thought the recording mechanic was really cool - and I was able to traverse to all the building locations on the map (I get that the game is incomplete, that's okay!). I found it really useful to use to save locations, so if I fell, I could rewind and resume where I was until I got a "perfect" run. At the end, I pressed space and watched my character do all the moves that I did while playing lol - it was seemed very accurate too! Well done, I thought that was amazing about the mechanic. This game was very pretty also.
Nice concept and mechanics! It got stuck at times on the web version. Still nice job!
The controls feel fairly slippery, but the main mechanic helps a lot with that. Contrary to Lady Death's Head's experience I found that it ran well on my laptop.
Cool looking game. The movement is perhaps trickier than it needed to be, It felt super slippery. I guess that makes sense, considering the editing mechanic, but I'd rather use it to pass through tough platforming sections than fix my messy movement. Really inventive concept nonetheless, nice job!
Love the art style man! keep up the good work! please check out my game if you can and leave a rating and comment <3
It was a cool idea I had a really hard time with while jumping and running and that sort of thing and I feel like a cool little soundtrack would have helped the scam a lot but it is a Nice clean looking game and funny
Awesome Game!
Pretty innovative idea, I really felt like a speedrunner after being able to optimize the path so easily. The walljump was sometimes hard to pull off, but learnable. Would be awesome seeing a more fleshed out version of this game in the future :)
Hope you get high in the ranks :D
Love the style! The jumping between walls was rough but got the hang after a few minutes. The fact you can record time and go back was a lot of fun, allowed me to do some really fun movements.
Very unique and really fun! It did take me a few moments to get used to the controls but after that it was pretty fun.
Really innovative game mechanic. Does take a few moments to learn, but it is a really well made mechanic I did enjoy the platforming, although it wasn't clear that you can wall jump, had to figure that out. The story is obviously incomplete, however I do appreciate that this is a game jam submission. Amazing effort!
Great idea for a game and the dialogue was very funny. I just struggled with learning the character movement and recording mechanics.
