How does the game fit the theme?
Nothing can go wrong with using toxic water, right? Used Toxic water to water plants and now they produce, slimes instead of fruits.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Some sprites are custom made, but most sounds and sprites are downloaded from sources like itch.io and freesound.org

Nice entry and good concept ! It would be really nice to add more weapons.
Please consider rating my game too ;)
Congrats on your first game jam! Love the art! The gameplay could use variation. Keeping up with the slimes became overwhelming and there wasn't room to breath. Perhaps implement a wave based system where you have down time to fortify your home and add defense systems or upgrade your character. Great start!
Congrats on creating your game in such a short time!
A small suggestion: I know you provided the controls on the itch page, but it would be helpful to add a brief instruction at the beginning of the game. It took me some time to figure out how to combat.
It's functional, but there are many negatives.
- The audio is not in proper surround sound for ambience
- The slimes overlap their audio causing garbled audio at high numbers of slime,
- No diagonal movement makes it hard to move,
- It feels like sometimes when switching directions it ignores my key press,
- The attack has an unknown hitbox size,
- The enemies don't clearly react to being hit,
- The death animation is so slow they still look like a threat.
- No attacking while moving feels bad, but that may just be a personal choice.
Congratulations on finishing the Jam with something that functions as a game, that's a feat on its own, but I wanted to give you some good feedback in case you wanted to improve.
Those slime's are out of control.... I attempted to defeat them from my home, but eventually they broke through the walls.
Help!!!!

The combat system was nice but too hard and the art was good.
Someone said in the comments its your first game, I didnt see where you wrote it but if it is then good job.
Man screw these slimes lmao always managing to get a hit in, very punishing
Congrats on making ur first game. Not too bad for a first. With more balancing and intuitive player movements, this could be so fun to play. Keep it up the good work!
It was quite hard to attack because the health didn’t regenerate but I liked the art style and the animations. The combat system could be easily fooled by spam-clicking but I certainly enjoyed playing it.
Fun for a quick game. Adding XP and levels would make it even better.
Fun game, it's tough but I love the taunts that come up when I lose XD adds alot of charm!
The art styles blend together really well! However, I feel like the attack range is a bit too short. When I try to control the character by pressing two directions at once—like up and left—I expect it to move northwest, but the input seems to only register one direction (left). Overall, it’s really fun though!
Nice simple game! It would be cool if you could kill the plants to slow down the slimes spawning and also add a shop or something to upgrade yourself. Once there were a ton of slimes on screen, they started to glitch on top of eachother, but no big deal!
Why can't I attack if no slime is around? :(
Made it more difficult than it could have been otherwise!
But it's fun and I gave it a few tries to see if I could beat your score, what is it? :)
I like the visualitis and animations of the slimes. I dont like that you can't move diagonally 👍
