Thanks for submitting your game to the stream! If you wanted to look at the vod again in the future here it is timestamped to your game

And heres a score I got in a run after the stream

Developer

Hell yeah, thank you! It was great watching you play all the different games, great stream!

I think I'm going to have to fix the score UI so it can fit in your crazy scores! (And maybe speed it up a bit when you reach 1000 haha)

Developer

I just looked again and saw you got over 6000 holy shit! I definitely will have to add a speed up at some point in the game lol

Submitted(+1)

Very fun and really intense sometimes lol. I like the sprites alot!

Developer

Thank you! Yeah I'm hoping that the difficulty ramps at a good pace for everyone

Submitted(+1)

i like it, and it fit the theme nicly. very fun, but i got only 52..... /(ㄒoㄒ)/~~

Developer

Thanks! I thought the theme opened many doors to creative ideas (pun intended). Keep trying, I believe you can get at least 60 ;)

Very nice I didn't understand at first but once I did it was very engaging and just such a blast. I'm amazing at how you managed to make the controls just feel all natural. You gotta appreciate when people take a simple gameplay element and make it just feel amazing an engaging to play. Great work This one is very good!

Developer(+1)

That means a lot thank you! I was talking to my girlfriend about trying to get the doors to rotate and feel right and she made some suggestions and I fine tuned it to try and make it feel good. Sometimes running your ideas and gameplay by outside sources helps a lot and introduces things you might not have thought of.

I'm glad you were able to figure out the controls so you could enjoy the game!

i got 1163! i was sweating on this way too hard xD, very fun and challenging, would love to see if there was a way to hit the big boy behind the doors as a second phase of the thing, but then al the hands started creeping around i almost broke my MnK, loved the game so much!

Developer

Woah that's insane! Adding a second phase would be a pretty cool idea. I'm glad you had fun playing :) and I'm glad it challenged you to the point of almost destroying your MnK!

Really good idea, I love the way this plays - nice work!

Developer

Thank you!

What a fun little game. Managed to get 418 points, but thats only because im old. Got really hectic at the end ; I like the art style, the theme, the idea, the horror atmosphere. The music loop could use some work, but it was ok. Overall, a decent little game i loved to spend 5 minutes with.

Developer

Woah 418 is pretty good! Once it gets ramped up it starts to get pretty difficult. I have a friend who does the music so I can mention the loop feedback to him. Thanks for playing my game!

Submitted(+1)

The controls were a bit hard but the game itself is fun! Very nice game idea!

Developer

Thanks! I've been thinking about adding an option for players to switch the controls around for preferred playstyles

Submitted(+1)

This was a fun game! My high score was 632!

Developer

Holy shit! How you do that?

Submitted(+1)

Definetely an interesting game, I really like the idea behind it! It was sometime hard to know which arrow key closed which door but overall it is kinda fun

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

Yeah, I had a buddy say he got the left and right mixed up too, I'm thinking about adding an option that inverses the controls.

Thanks for playing!

Probably one of the best ones I’ve played so far! The game design was great. It was fun to play, challenging, and the increase in difficulty throught the gameplay was fairly balanced. Which I’d say is the most important part of any game. It felt really complete. The art and the music were also pretty good.

Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, that means a lot! I wasn't sure if the difficulty ramped too fast or too slow when I uploaded it

I love the atmosphere, and I think you really nailed the tension and discomfort that comes with horror without resorting to a jumpscare like others have said here. It got really fun when the difficulty picked up and maybe this is just me being bad at the game lol but having to fiddle with the WASD controls and figure out which key shut the wardrobe door added a lot to the atmosphere.

Developer

Thank you! I had 2 friends tell me they thought A and D should be switched so I thought about adding an option to invert them. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

Wow this was a very fun idea, I loved it a lot. The pixel art is very good and it's over all very atmospheric

Developer

Thank you! I had fun drawing up all the sprites, I have a very creepy monster that I might add in to spawn sometimes instead of the blue dragon thing

Submitted(+1)

Just played your game, I really loved it. The art  style is really cute and creepy. Coupled with the music and red lighting coming from behind the door, you did a wonderful job creating a sense of atmosphere, it was scary, the green hand was unnerving in a such a good way from how it was animated and moving.

ALSO HUGE SHOUT OUTS FOR NOT ENDING THE GAME IN A JUMP SCARE! The anticipation of the reveal is scarier then the horror and you did a great job. The concept was simple but well executed, I didn't encounter any bugs, you did a great job and have a well polished game! Fantastic!

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I kind of wanted the monster to charge at the player at the end so I'm glad it turned out without being too much of a jump scare

Nice game with great art too!

Developer

Thank you! I enjoyed drawing all the sprites :) I'm hoping I can add at least one more hànd that spawns

Submitted(+1)

I really love the concept for this game and the execution was done really well.

My only gripe is that how the door is being opened isn’t necessarily communicated the best, but once I got it, I got it.

I think with a bit more work this could be turned into a really good horror game.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks! Yeah I wasn't sure if there was another/better way to tell the player which way the doors are opening. If you have any suggestions let me know!

Submitted(+1)

First i didnt get how to keep the moster inside i spammed the mouse on the doors to smash it back to place xD

Then i read "how to play" and then it made more sense.

Nice game but i felt like i wanted a way to repair the closet so i could get even more points

Good Job!

Developer

Haha  that's fair, banging on a door does move it back into place in a real life
