Good game, this game will be a standalone game not forJam,
Incredibly polished : >
Okay this game looks so polished is almost difficult to believe that it was made for a GameJam, to be honest I have no feedbacks, the game feels and look extremely good, only thing I can say is BRAVO!
Wow! The game's graphics are very professional! I enjoyed playing it. The effects and the boss's animations are amazing! The theme was perfectly applied and it complements very well the whole environment. Such level of polish is very inspiring!
Nicely done!
Incredibly polished experience! I am surprised at the quality of presentation for a game made within a month. The variety and flourish of the boss attacks are impressive, and your guys' implementation of the theme coupled with the custom nature of building your bot stands out a lot. Through all the attempts I made, it felt as though Thomas was a little too tank-y (and maybe that's intentional), and it sort of took away the fun for me after a few fights. I'm not sure if I was able to get a crate of parts right at the start, but I assumed I had to earn some sort of currency before being able to, so I went into the first fight without any attachments. No dodging makes the difficulty of the fight feel especially disproportionate, so you might think about adding clearer communication to the player regarding when they can get upgrades (or force them to interact with the shopkeep before going to the first fight). In the end it's a really cool game with a shocking level of quality, congrats on such a complete product!
How am I even meant to compete against this? It's only flaw is that it gets hard to see because of all the effects.
Among the best and makeshifitiest games in this jam! There is nothing more makeshift than a robot on a single wheel with a mass of junk stuck everywhere!
Other than that- simply great game. The guns felt juicy (more so that the fruit, weird), the bosses were fun (mele attacking tank is not something you see every day).
Ah come on! You made a great game, and you know it!
Best use of theme. the game is great fun and super polish big gg.
I have a little trouble with the camera, we can see what the boss is doing and if we add a lot of elements to the character, it's quite a hassle.
Maybe one of the best games of the jam
Really really good. The use of the theme was on point and fun as hell, the bosses were fantastically designed. I really really liked decking myself out and I appreciated that where I put things mattered. The writing was also really funny. Art was also great.
I did feel a little overwhelmed in fights though; the camera angle is a bit too low and bosses are hard to follow, especially with the amount happening on screen and loud sounds when the player shoots.
All in all though it was really incredible especially for the time frame it was built in. Amazing job!
I don't know how else to say it but this game feels juicy. The amount of polish and refinement is insane, especially for a game jam game. Every bullet, laser, and lighting effect just looks and feels so good. The makeshift mechanic fits right in, really nailing that vibe of becoming an unstable scrap heap of a fighter. The only problem I had was that the bosses themselves can feel very resistant to the normal bullets, which sort of lessens the impact of the normal weapon. Even this is partly remedied, though, by the overcharge weapon. Great work!
10/10
Great idea to stick the upgrades to your character, super funny.
Great take on the theme.
Amazing graphics
Cool music
Great sounds
Cool gameplay
Only complain that the bosses are kinda bullet sponges and the game is too much on the grinding side
Please let me know which shader are you using.
Everything about this game is absolutely amazing!!! Bosses are fun and engaging, and more importantly readable yet still challenging! Mixing and matching upgrades is not only fun but funny, and the game overall is just incredibly well done! With a bit more work this would make a great full release. Five stars all around!
Utterly amazing, so much polish, unbelievable how good this game is, beyond even AAA titles. The makeshift upgrade system is the best part.
