How does your game represent "Power"?
There are two main aspects of power in our game. The core mechanic of the game is the Power Swing, which if timed properly can reflect enemy attacks while doing powerful damage. As the game goes on, the player will gain access to additional bats that power up their bat even more. We put a lot of work into giving the player a "Power Trip" as they tear through enemies.

Great game! Everything feels amazing and runs well, which many 3D games I've played this jam didn't do on my system. I love the different bats and hitting a ball right as it launches at you is so much fun. Great work!

great interpretation of the theme, focusing on one aspect of game feel that a lot of us are familiar with, ie the home-run bat in smash bros! took me awhile to get the hang of it, but it was a great time, and the presentation was awesome!!! >:3

Beautiful game! Loved the devastated faces on the once hard looking baseballs when their Gurren Lagaan glasses were thwacked off. Very satisfying game, great work!

I did two runs and both got to the point where the hotdog music would just stack and blow my eardrums out.
Generally I think there should probably be a limit on how many hotdogs can spawn because it is very easy to just farm hp and go forever.
Thanks for playing! the issues mentioned are actually fixed in the newer versions we have linked on the itch, like you said its pretty glaring lol. This build gives you way too many points, hence why hotdogs be spawning like crazy
This is the second game I've played so fair that visually looks more like a commercial release than a jam game. Additionally the game juice is on point, it looks and feels so good to hit the balls with the bat.

Really awesome game! It reminded me of old-school Call of Duty Zombies (sort of a weird comparison xD), with hordes of enemies coming your way and you just need to maneuver around them to survive. But the aesthetic was great, it fits the theme very well. I'm not sure how much more to praise the game, every bit felt awesome! Amazing job! The only critique I'll give is I just wish the game had a leaderboard. Got a score of 2469 first try!

Such an awesome game!! The graphics are BEAUTIFUL, I think there should be way more games with this kind of aesthetic. The game itself is really fun and satisfying with a lot of hit feedback and great sound design. I do think there should be some sort of indicator showing what balls will be hit before you release the bat, because the range of the attack seems a little unclear. Excellent result overall -- I can't wait to see this game in the video!
Am I a gamer? (My score was like 215) The setting is very unique and well set. I really like the art, love that there are different textures and skins for the bats as you upgrade, but I think you can do so much more with what you have as a base here. (I'm thinking like different types of enemies, more weapons/bats or abilities, gameplay loop of having to run the bases or something? Idk!) Great job for the timeframe you had here for the jam, well done!

wow! this is so gosh darn cool, the art style is incredible, the hit stop and expressions on the balls is perfect.

Would be ideal to have an option to cap the frames, with my setup everything gets lagged out and tears so I'm not able to check this one out right away unfortunately
maybe try putting the game in windowed mode with F11 to get some more performance? Otherwise I think you can cap framerate in graphics card settings
That's what I ended up doing as a workaround, just going through the nvidia settings to cap frames
These are *exactly* the kinds of games that I'm personally really bad at, but I love the style, flair, and enemy variety y'all were able to squeeze out in the time. I really liked this one, despite being a horrible player <3
such a clean art style... my inspiration meter is full! I was going into this expecting some sort of arcade twist on the classic game of baseball, but what I got was a baseball beat-em-up. tbh... I wish the game mode was different, something with a bit more room to breathe. Within 60 seconds I'm running aimlessly around and praying to the baseball gods I make contact. Still, an amazing submission to the game jam. Bravo
