This game is revolutionary for the Mode genre.

I really like the use of the theme here. The constant switching between genres and unlocking new ones makes for a fun experience. I also like the humor. I did feel like some of the sprites were inconsistent in style, but I understand that it's a game jam so time is limited. Good job overall!

I would be grateful if you checked out my submission as well.

Love all the modes you managed to fit in, and also the dialogue! Great job with this!

Very cool idea that I would enjoy seeing expanded with more time and maybe a bigger team! It kind of becomes a twist on the perspective-changing trope later on that i'm not sure I've seen in a lot of things, but engaging with enemies that can only be dealt with while using certain mechanics is cool. Could easily have scope creep though!

What an ambitious game! I congratulate on creating so much in such a short time frame. There looks to be a bit of a pixle size and consistency issue, and animations are a must!

Overall a great showcase of some really smart engineering and game design! GOOD JOB!

Great game! Loved the concept of changing the game genre during gameplay. Also, it was fantastic to discover that a previous section that initially posed a challenge (falling) became accessible once I unlocked the Metroidvania mode. Congrats!

Really fun game, I feel like there is not much to add. I felt like the modes could be slightly more interesting, but I mean you had a pretty big scope, the game is mainly bug free and you are a solo dev. Well done!

Wonderful job on this! Love the genre hopping idea, you executed it very well and it was lots of fun to play. Nice work!

A very very nice take on the theme, and very well presented!

Keep up like that :)

Really clever interpretation of the theme! We actually tackled "Mode" in a similar way, and yet still takes are so different! Also, love the way the whole interface changes by the mode. We struggled with the gameplay in a few places, especially precise jumping/attacking. Maybe increasing the deceleration of the character while on the ground could help it feel a little snappier. I hope you continue to refine this one; would love to play a future iteration. Great work!

noooooo i was looking forward to the last one why did the game have to end?? :(  i loved this game, very fun, humorous and original, i have no negatives to mention whatsoever lol (oh wait the platforming is a bit too slippery). amazing job!

very cute game with some neat concepts! i really liked the idea of there being different types of enemies that you could only defeat in a certain game genre. it was very nicely made and polished - i loved the overall feel of the game, especially with the ui and the dialogue. it’s super impressive that you were able to do this all on your own!

Really creative and most profound mode themed game so far. Controls and animations can be better but consept is great , keep it up!

Incredible solo game! I was blown away by the originality and creativity going on. I literally "wow"ed out loud at the third cartridge reveal. Some of the platforms were difficult to get to but the checkpoints were really well placed and not having to start from the very beginning helped a ton. Cool idea!

I'm with the other people in here. This is so so impressive to do in this short a time frame. I played about 20 min, and I just want to sit here and play even more. Well done!

Very impressive!! Great execution, specially considering the time constraints. A joyful and short experience!

This was a pretty original and ambitious idea! Well done doing this all on your own. The music was good and the mechanics played well. I was waiting for that RHYTHM MODE!

ah thanks, I was thinking of some sort of rhythm mode... was thinking of how to change the map to fit one.. i guess something like necrodancer.

This was a fun and very unique one. I found the secret treasure! Great choice of game modes, they meshed well together. It seems tricky to have to create a top down view for every 2d level area especially underground with the floating platforms, but it was seamless.

Great job solo developing. This game gave me a similar feeling as playing the Evoland games, and I love those games (especially Evoland 2). The music was very good and fitting too.

I like the modes!!! Would like to smash things but it's great!

liked the way the different genres interacted with the map, this could be something really cool with a little bit of refinement in each of the genres (i especially found the platforming a little awkward). i also like the cartridge load visuals
