How does your game represent Mode?
So my thought was that 'mode' is a synonym for 'most occurring' or 'most', so my game is about gathering the most followers you can! In my game, your health and damage is directly proportional to the number of monkeys you are leading, so getting monkey mode means getting the most monkeys!

Good idea for a swarm game! I think the monkeys moved a little too uniformly most of the time, but overall it was great getting to control a huge group like this. The challenge ramps up nicely as well, slowly getting more and more chaotic. Great stuff!
i appreciate it!
Nice gameplay and I love the screaming SFX
thanks!
Loved the dnb soundtrack and the classic yelling SFX when your monkeys devoured a human. I enjoyed gathering up the monkeys and wish there was something more to do with them, or a win state at the end of the game.
i agree, i want to flesh out the format of the game moreso than just kill 200 guys. Maybe ill make a directors cut
I like the soundtrack!
Its amazing whats out there for free!
Hilariously satisfying game lol!
thanks!
This is how i imagine my character getting revenge from the kidnappers , fun game !
<3
I was waiting to see this interpretation of mode! The game is really fun and feels nice. It's good for the soul.
:)
I like eating the humans :D
i liked that you included many different species of apes, and that you made a monkey mode soundtrack!
I like the colors and art of this game. Wish there was a different font on the top for the score, but thats just me being picky.
thank you! Fonts are important!
Brilliant! I love the screams of agony when the monkeys kill the suits! Starts easy, but the difficulty escalates nicely :)
your words mean alot, thanks!
i really enjoyed this one, moving around with a swarm of murder monkeys was really satisfying, especially when you slam a group of them into their attackers. the decision to have it raining while jungle music plays was a pretty strong vibe too despite the screams of would-be attackers.
thanks for having me on stream it was fun to watch someone play it live!
hey I saw your game on stream, it's a great arcade game! I played it for a while and it's easy to get lost in
hey thank you! s/o bonejackle and teleco20XX!
super fun, and satisfying when you kill people. Godot love also :)
Godot is for the people!
The music in this bops so hard, and I had fun swerving out of the way last minute, allowing my monkey tsunami to crash down on some unsuspecting suit. My one piece of feedback is that I wish there were some way to protect the monkeys from the bullets. It felt like once the bullets started coming from every direction, there wasn't much I could do to protect my little guys. They will be missed. I also agree that it was a bit difficult to tell the bullets from the rain in the late game.
Great work.
Thanks for playing!
It's immediately fun! I played through the first 100 humans.
thank you!
I love any game that lets me live out my dream of a monkey uprising. Also, the frequent use of the Wilhelm scream was a nice touch. I loved controlling the monkey swarm. Fun entry!
your words are kind!
Great work! It was very enjoyable being a swarm of monkey's and I also love the art of the monkeys themselves. Nice job!
thanks!
I had a fun time getting to control a large group of monkeys :)
I agree with the bullet comments below, it also got to a point where it was tough to outpace all of the enemy suits, though I probably could have prepared better with my monkey gathering at the beginning.
im happy to hear it! My main goal was to show that it was fun to control a large crowd. I think ill definitely update the bullets post jam.
it was a fun game, I couldn't really tell the difference between bullets and rain and kept getting stuck in trees, BUT other than that, it was a fun game!
Thanks! Yeah, I've gotten similar feedback, especially about the trees getting in the way. Glad you had fun though!
