Honestly a really smart idea to use the mismashed-aesthetic assets they gave us to create a Wario-Ware-like. One of my favorite things about that game was seeing all the different art styles, and you nailed that energy. I also thought the transitions into the microgames looked really cool. One small thing you could maybe add in a future update is some way to keep track of how many games you've beaten, so people can try to beat their high scores. But overall, this was a lot of fun!

(1 edit)

This was really cool - as others have said, I'm really impressed with the creativity of levels that you were able to come up with in the short jam period. You definitely were able to come up with some interesting puzzles using the time-stop mechanic, this was really awesome. Nice job!

Thank you for playing and the feedback! Unfortunately due to the nature of the game, it’s tough to get unique looking screenshots, and while I usually have a gif too to showcase the gameplay it looks like there’s a bug where those are broken on itch for the time being.

I’ll try to update the rest of the page to see if I can better capture the energy of the game, though! Thanks again!

This was a ton of fun! You nailed the physics - I feel like some electronic pinball games can feel a little sluggish, but yours captures the fast paced and frenetic action of the real thing. Also, good job having both options for mouse or keyboard controls. This was a great entry!

The visual effect for the wormhole was really cool, nice job! I also liked the meta element of filling the worm hole with even more worms. Cool entry!

This was really cool! I felt the Flash flying around at mach-speed trying to save everyone from impending doom. I really like the concept of only having one small moment to make a split decision and change the course of history. The opening cutscene was really well done as well. Nice job!

OH MY GOD such a tragic ending for my hero! I was ecstatic that I got to max likability only for him to be slain in the dungeon :(

Really cool entry though, I like the conversation-as-a-card-game mechanic and thought you incorporated it well for such a short development time. I can definitely see you expanding on thist too. Nice job!

This was really cute and relaxing. The sound design for the different "tools" was great, and the art was on point. I had a really nice time setting a little scene in the two gardens. I also really loved the animation/transition between the different times of day. Nice work!

This was cool! I liked the big aesthetic difference between the future and the past fights. One thing that could be interesting is if the two character had attacks that different from one another, i.e. one is ranged and the other is melee. Overall nice job!

Nice foundation! The movement and shooting feel pretty good so far. I can see how the progression will be really satisfying as you upgrade the robot

Good use of the given assets, I liked how each level felt unique not just because you used the different asset packs but because you took a different approach with how each level was designed. The physics on the ball rolling felt good too, nice job!

This was a lot of fun! I really like the way the music sped up/slowed down as time did, it really helped to drive that mechanic home. Nice job!

This was fun! Turns out it's surprisingly hard to play snake while drunk - I'll have to give that a try the next time I have a couple brews. Nice job!

Cute game! I loved the pixel art and grinding with Tony was a lot of fun. Nice job!

This was amazing! I spent so many hours playing Rogue Squadron for PC as a kid so, this was a great blast of nostalgia. And there were no tow cables in the level so it was even better! The controls felt really great, and I had a lot of fun speeding through that final tunnel to escape before the explosion. The music was also a great homage to the soundtracks for the movies/games. Nice job!

Nice relaxing game! Kind of reminded me a bit of swimming through the seas on ABZU. Good job!

I gotta say - I didn't expect to play a first-person shooter golf game this jam, this was really creative. I had a lot of fun blasting the evil golf balls with the corpses of their fallen friends. Great job!

Fun game with a nice relaxing soundtrack! I thought a lot of the level design and difficulty ramp was well done. My one piece of criticism is that there were a few levels where you have to do the same maneuver a couple of times, when I was struggling to get through even the first one lol. So maybe just one or two times would suffice for those levels. Fun entry!

Nice entry! The sound design and juice of the gun felt really good, and the first time I died to the bees, it really freaked me out. I also liked being able to see some of the red eyes in the distance to help with getting lost, that was a good touch. Nice job!

This was amazing! The first game I have yet to rate for this jam, and you've set the bar really high. I'm a sucker for this type of engine-building roguelike gameplay and this was really well executed, especially given the time constraints. You should definitely look into a full release for this amazing job!

Sounds like 75 is the score to beat right now - thanks so much for playing!

Honestly kudos for making it to the 6th hero - thanks for playing!

Thanks so much for playing! Funny bug you found too - I hadn’t encountered that while playing testing but it totally makes sense how it could get into that state. I’ll have to patch it once the voting period is over. Appreciate the feedback!

This was really incredible! I feel like with jam games it's easy to play for a bit and then move on to the next one, but this really sucked me in, and I felt compelled to finish it. I'm so glad I did! Really great narrative device with the hard drive, and I really loved the fake Unity intro when going into each of the games. There was also a great progression with the quality of the games in a very authentic way. Excellent job to the team, the writing was top notch, and it's going to be really tough to find another game in the jam that tops this one.

Honestly, I would consider fleshing this out to a full release, it feels like it's basically there already. A great love letter to game development as an art form and hobby that can be used for human expression. Really fantastic work!

Great concept! I really like the idea of using a game's settings to solve puzzles, it's a neat idea I've never seen before. I was able to solve about half of the puzzles, the others I couldn't quite figure out after trying a couple different ideas. One suggestion would be to maybe configure the level order to start with the easiest levels first to ease the user into the concept, because it can take a few tries to wrap your head around it. Nice job!

Nice job! I loved the hand-drawn aesthetic, and the hand-mouse pointer reminded a lot of the good old days playing the Wii. Good game juice too, the shockwave move was satisfying to use. Good entry!

Aesthetically, this was top notch! The visuals, the game feel of the arms, the SFX, everything worked together really well. You were able to get a lot of mileage out of the limited color palette. Nice job!

This felt super polished, honestly with a few more levels this could be good to go for a full release. The sound effects and screenshake really tie the whole thing together, and the puzzles were really well designed. Nice job!

This was a really fun take on a typing game! I thought I would crush this because I can type quickly but I quickly realized that was not the case. This was a super charming entry, great work!

Wow this game rules. Everything really came together, the gameplay, the audio, the artstyle, they all complimented each other. And while it's really funny, it's not a complete joke because the gameplay is also weirdly addictive. Easily one of my favorites in the jam so far, great job!

The art style of this game is great! I started off super confident but I quickly realized my strategy of "throw everything at the first spot I see it" wasn't going to work you. Nice job!

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for checking the game out! I agree - I think this is a concept I was really excited about after brainstorming the theme, but I don't quite think I fully nailed the execution in the time we were given, it definitely needs a little tweaking. Maybe I'll keep with this one a little longer and see if I can squeeze more out of it!

Thank you so much! Yeah, agreed - right now the "micro" battles feel pretty bland because they have none of the adjacency bonus stuff on the top layer. I think adding more risk-reward on that front would make things more engaging. Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks so much for checking it out!

Definitely agree about the AI - I wish I had just another day to tweak it all because I already have some ideas on ways that it could have been improved. Appreciate the feedback!

Thanks for playing! Yeah, my original idea was actually to have an infinitely recursive set of hexes that could go up and down forever but couldn't figure out how to make that work gameplay wise - maybe I'll find a way to incorporate that someday!

This was a lot of fun! I was pretty engaged trying to keep the pigs on screen while also keeping track of the necessary troops. It was a little difficult to remember which level of pig was which, but after a few games I got the hang of it. Nice job!

This was really cute, I love the design of the main character. I was impressed that you were able to design a compelling open world in such a short amount of time. It's really cool that growing in size kind of recontextualizes things that you've already seen before. The piece pick up animation could be a tad shorter, but overall this was a really great game! Nice job!

This was really cool! I liked how the shadows helped to telegraph where the pieces were going to land. I also was a huge fan of the little tetris fakeout at the beginning to introduce the concept. Really fun entry!
