Love the use of perspective to follow the theme! Well-paced, looks solid, just feels a little slippery.
Really satisfying game. The audio really takes it a step above imo. The perspective gimmick is really well implemented. The 1st person perspective feels really nice, but the topdown perspective is maybe a bit too claustrophobic. I often had to find top-down enemies in first person just to switch to topdown and just fire off screen until I heard their death sound. The boss has really nasty patterns and it took me a few tries to beat. Really great entry!
Switching perspectives to deal with different enemies was a fun time.
Great game! Similar in soul to mine, and a lovely take on the mode concept. Well done!
This game is awesome. I loved the gameplay and it left me wanting more. I love the music, and sounds... I feel like this could easily be expanded upon. It's a simple idea, but you did a really good job of making that simplicity work and feel very elegant. It's just a really good concept that was executed really well. it reminds me of a quote by Bruce Lee: "Simplicity is the key to brilliance."
Excellent work! Wonderful fast paced game play and great use of the theme, mode. I enjoyed having to quickly switch between the perspectives in order to gain certain advantages. Amazing job!
Oh wow, this one is so good! The whole presentation is incredible, and your take on the theme is easily one of the best I've seen. It's actually really fun to dodge bullets in both modes. The enemy disintegrate animations are super stylish as well.
I really hope you continue developing this after the jam! I'd love to buy the full version. A few small suggestions that might make top-down gunplay even better: A) Have the camera focus somewhere between your character and your crosshair so it's easier to see what you're aiming at, and B) zoom the camera out slightly when you're moving quickly so you don't accidentally run into bullets that are just off-screen. Excellent job - this is hands down one of my favorite games this jam! :)
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, I totally know what you mean with the top-down camera. I backed myself into a bit of a corner with the way I set everything up in the prototype and just kind of ran out of time to make it feel better. But I'll definitely keep that if I decide to expand this concept out!
Awesome! Smooth gameplay and fun concept
Snazzy title and a fun game. I hope you'll end up working more on 3D in the future. Good job :)
Switching between 2d and 3d was fun but I wished there had been more enemies/puzzles to do with it
What a cool concept, I haven't see anything like this before! Nice job!
This is a beautiful and cruel game. 5/5
Intro crisp and cool.
Controls responsive and smooth.
Gameplay engaging and action packed.
Idea simple.
Execution, in my opinion flawless.
Games like this inspire me, great job!
Really fun. The transition between play modes feels great, music is awesome, gameplay is super intense, awesome job all around!
Such a creative idea I love this. The simple art style really makes the modes feel seamless too which is something that I think other games who do this perspective switching thing struggle with. Impressive work
Thanks for playing! I don’t work in 3D much so it was fun to try to find an artstyle that both fit the game and also was possible with my current skill set lol. Glad you liked it!
