Wow, this was surprisingly enjoyable. The controls were counter-intuitive enough to be a bit irritating (can drop things to the side, but can't pick up from the side).
If there was an award for jankiest controls, this would win hands down. I cannot express in words how frustrating this stick man was to control. It's made up for by the fact that there's a level select, so you know exactly how long the game is. With that knowledge I manage to power my way through and am glad I did. Combining elements of a machine is an obvious mechanic that I somehow didn't think of at all when planning. I'd love to see the concept expanded further.
Promising idea for a puzzle game. Physics need some work though :)
Great puzzles and nice look ! This is definitely promising :)
Just one question: How the hell are the physics working ?!
That's just Rapier physics, but I didn't want to waste precious jam time on manipulating the robot parts with velocity or physical forces, so I just teleported them to the right place when picking them up or putting them down - which kinds of messes the physics up.
Great concept, just needs a little polish on the controls. Understandable since time is short.
I like the idea, and it works together fairly OK, bonus point for gamepad support (although it doesn't help much with the controls). The controls are very difficult to deal with, and this detracts from the main gameplay.
Great work submitting a complete game with multiple levels! Controls were pretty frustrating for me, and I managed to get myself stuck on Heap.
We are all victims of physics.
Nice game.
to drop object, arrow key needs to be pressed before space bar. the other way should also work to be intuvituve.
Froze my entire computer mid-way through.
Fun little puzzle game combining different parts. I got stuck on the hoover level though and couldn't get back up the the door.
Because it's too high? Maybe you just need something to step on.
This game requires the player to construct turrets with different layers, while fighting with the slippy movement and lack of space. The character is difficult to control, but this is the game's main source of difficulty. The graphics are simple but clearly convey the function of elements.
I wish I could say the difficulty to control the character was on purpose...
