Incredible, well done ! Deserving winner

Haha I just came back to see in what position this game ended and I'm not surprised it's in first place. Totally well deserved, congrats!

Congratz to getting first place. It was quite funny and there were a lot of things to do and interact with. Overall it's very well rounded for a jam game. I don't have anything to complain about and normally we Germans love complaining ;).

I stuck to my AdvJam tradition and played the Guga game first as usual. The reason being, I know I'm going to get great humor, a set of puzzles that are just hard enough for me to want keep playing, and that unlike me, Guga knows when to stop drawing/writing dialogue and actually start making a *game* :). Well, I did get all of those things and then some - really, really fun as always!

Great story, good humor, excellent voice cast! It was all developed in just two weeks! Amazing!

The theme of the game is very characteristic, even the game has its own voice acting, and the atmosphere is also great:)

Outstanding!  Love the premise, the characters and the puzzles.  The voice acting was superb.  This is my favorite so far this year.

Very nostalgic and funny entry! Feels very inspired and I quite enjoyed all the inclusions of extra dialogs that were entirely unnecessary :) I really enjoyed hearing Otto blather on each time I came through the room. Every character had the right dash of twisted humor, as did all the puzzles. The voice acting was all perfectly executed and suited to each character.

I had to watch a video to get a couple things figured out, mainly the ventriloquist puzzle and I didn't notice the iron was an interactable item. Maybe when using the ventriloquist book on the horse skull (which I tried many times) the player could be given some kind of hint about using the book on the bookshelf. Great entry overall, maybe the most polished and funniest I've played yet!

Pretty funny and challenging. The interaction required to solve the ventriloquist puzzle was weird, I solved it by trial and error because I was expecting to use the book in a different way (by the way, everything about the library reminded me of Return to Monkey Island 🤓).

I wonder why the kitchen scene had a sort of frame, as if it were a painting.

Everything that happens in the dungeon is hilarious, made even funnier by the voice acting.

The ending made me laugh, especially when the skull reappears (which also made me think of Murray).

Great game, as always.

Thanks :) the actors made a stellar job

What else can be said. Another Gugames masterpiece! Great voice acting to boot, it really brought it to life.

Developer(+2)

Thanks a lot! And yes, the voice acting really made a difference

Really well made game! I liked the puzzles and the background music was on point! Very well made game. Awesome job!!

Developer

Thanks! I'm always happy when someone comments on music - it's probably the topic where I'm less confident in my skills, so it's appreciated :)

This was SO fun. One of the best I've played so far. The writing and characters, the puzzles, everything on point.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot :)

I'm impressed with the execution work for a 14 day jam.
The game is fun, the puzzle are challenging and entertaining (the book one is hilarious too),
the music is great and the voiceover have an high level.
Really great job

Developer

Thanks a lot :) the book puzzle is definitely my favorite. And also thanks for the comment on the music! I'm an improvised, self-taught musician, so I'm very very glad you liked it!

One of my favorite submissions! I love the humor throughout the game, really made me giggle. It's amazing how you managed to make a game so polished in just 2 weeks!

Developer

Thanks! It's my seventh 14-day jam in three years, so I guess I'm very comfortable with the jam format and I'm now able to cram as much content as I can in a short time ;)

Great game across the board. Writing was great and the voice acting. I really liked the puzzle design a lot. Got stuck initially on the Otto puzzle but it was fantastic and I loved the exectution. Got stuck a bit on the stones puzzle and reverted to trying things with everything but that’s fine.

Fantastic effort. Top tier Guga. really.

Developer

Thanks George! I guess the stones could have been improved by a better signposting / dialogue but I froze text after seven days because I really wanted to have voice acting. And I'm glad I did, because the voices really made the comedy shine :)

A fantastic game reminiscent of the good ol' days of AGS. Funny writing, charmingly hammy delivery for the voice actors, and detailed screens with fun little interactions. The amount of polish here in 2-weeks is wild, this is a game that stands on its own.

Developer

Thanks a lot Jaybee :)

This was just so wonderful! Every detail is perfect, from the Servant rolling all of his Rs to Carla requesting I don't brand the prisoners because that's her job. The ventriloquist puzzle was ingenious.  Where Wolf was quite a bit of fun last year, but this one's a huge leap in quality. Bravo!

Developer(+1)

Thanks :) I like adding little jokes here and there and I'm always happy if someone finds them (e.g. having Carla complain about you stealing her job). Also thanks for your comment on Where Wolf - as someone who's been brought up by somewhat violent nuns, that game has a special place in my heart :P
