Hello,

I started long time ago the spanish traslation to give something in return of this VN. But i had some health issues and it's tacking me ages to finish it. Anyways i want to upload al the work that is finished to make it usefull and to avoid people starting this translation over and over.

I need help with the RenPy tool. I'm not able to make some kind of button to change language

es_es files in tl folder

Things to do:

  • script_hinterlands : 95% finished --> Just 1 more day to go (But there are some words.. that .. mmmmm.. i may need to recheck it after finishing 07)
  • script_build07:  75% finished
  • route_Khenbish:  0% finished
  • route_Kota:  0% finished

I'm not going to start with routes anytime soon and i hope to get hinterlands by this month!

Very cool! I was hoping to see a Spanish translation.

Hi back! Sorry for being late but i was in Oblivion...

Hinterlands is done and Script 7 is going on. I'm not sure if i will have it by the end of the month.

About the transaltion:

  • Places names are translated
  • Main character names are not translated (but secondary ones yes)
  • Bull jokes/puns are translated (I tried my best... the only one that was easy is "moosician")
  • Word "charm". I translated it as the action instead of the object itself (Not sure 100% of this one... i may rethink it in some sentences)
  • Word "master". I translated it like in a "master/slave" relation.

  • I still need help with renpy to have a way to change the language and test it properly
  • In the hinterland script there is a few sentences where Storm is still called Storm after "the reveal" (I changed it in the translation)

Great job, I also have some doubts about how to translate certain words, for example "bedrock" I would translate as "stone room" but I'm not sure, also do you know in which file the texts of the various backgrounds of the character you choose at the beginning are located? I can't find it.

Instead for "master" I used the term like master/student

I'm not sure either thats the reason to ask for a button to change the language and check things like that. It was easy to obtain those scripts to translate with the renpy tool but i can't do the **** button by myslef.

I tried to keep things as they where. Like...

"{color=[UIColorSpeedrunner]}(SPEEDRUNNER)"

because they seem to be some kind of option scripted. The same with attributes etc...

About bedrock i tought more in a layer... in spanish "lecho de roca" maby ¿fondamento? like in a building
