The visuals are amazing and music very fitting. The shooting-mechanic was alright but would've been more interesting with more sound effects. Very interesting story premise that really caught my interest. Great game!

Great short horror game. The contrast between the game you play and your surroundings gives so amazing feeling of really being there and when these worlds start slowly affecting each other - in small doses - that is amazingly scary. I love subtle scares, weird happenings, expanding mystery and suspense more than jumpscares but this game presented its jumpscares well and had some great dread-inducing moments. Sound is so important in these games and this absolutely delivered. I would've loved to play even more. Great game, congratulations!

Great concept. A really nice mechanic for uncovering the story, which is itself beautifully bittersweet.

Oh I really liked the mechanics and the feel here.

Gathering information through different systems, making the player really feel like investigator.

I was quite overwhelmed at first with my equipment but then I learned how to use the tools and understood how things work - and that was really really cool!

Wonderful investigation game with very nice, moody, theme fitting visuals amplifying the mystery.

Great work! Congratulations!

Great mechanics and very good feel about platforming. Loved the art style and the dialogues. Great game, great FUN!

I wanted to say thanks to everyone (organizers/jammers/etc) for making this jam a great experience!

If someone hasn't tried my game jam submission PAPERBOY or if you'd like to check out the enchanced PAPERBOY,

you can try the updated browser version here!

Cheers!

So nice to hear you liked it! Thanks for the feedback! :)

Glad to hear you liked it! Thanks for playing!

Thank you so much for playing and commenting!

Thank you for trying out the game! Nice to hear that you liked the aesthetics/mood. It's somethin I try to get right.

Thanks a ton for the feedback! It is veery nice to hear that my little game gave some actual dread in a good way :) Climbing was a problem, I agree. It has been improved in the update which comes after the jam.

Thank you so much for the feedback! Lighting suggestions are great and will definitely make improvements in that area in the update. I also think the lighting is too dark. I made some adjustments to the enemy behaviour, don't know if it makes it better but will see. Thanks again. :)

Thanks a lot for commenting and playing! I actually will have more threat in the update which introduces more aggression from the monster along with better climbing and other stuff.

Thank you for the feedback, much appreciated!

Interesting world and nice music. I think it was interesting puzzle how to get to the door knob. Jumping/movement could've been smoother. I really liked the jam poster on the wall. Very nice submission, congrats!

So this may not be a bug but the menu music starts from the beginning every time you transfer from options to title screen or back. It would be much nicer for the experience if music would be playing in the background non-stop while you haven't started the game yet (looping menu music).

There was also a problem with the menu screen that pops up below other UI element in game (Interact window) so player may not see "Resume Game" text and it can't be interacted at this point.

If you press ESC while playing and press options and come back - game has restarted.

The door archways are a bit too tiny. I think it would be better if the upper wall (higher in y-axis) collider was higher to also make transferring through door visually logical to the eye.

I hope these help. The game itself has great potential.

Oh man this was really cool! I loved the music and hopping between planets and dogs as enemies was quite funny. Challenging game and great fun!

I think the art style is great and menu screen is very cool. Game had some bugs and I don't think that it's best place to have restart key [R] next to use key [E] cuz I pushed it accidentally and was sent back to start. I love how the light is slowly going out and you have to gather candles. The Vibrating red text was nice touch and music was nice also. I think doors could've been bigger because it was hard to step through doorways sometimes. Anyways. a very solid nice game, congrats!

I immediately started to kill the chickens and thought that "damn this is brutal" but quickly realized you are supposed to collect dem EGGS not murder chickens. Nice game! Had fun!

Well this was a trip. Got me quite emotional. Nice story! Great musical choices and I really liked the art. Cheers!

Thank you very much for playing and for the feedback!

Yes that floating is unfortunately a feature of this version of the game. I didn't have much experience with 3D and ladders and I made a poor decision of using physics force for ladders. That is why it feels like floating. In the update this has been somewhat fixed.

I am really glad you found the animation nice :)

Ok - so I am sad to learn about the situation at Galicia. I'm grateful for this experience and I did look into the situation myself. I hope Ulla-river (which is actually a finnish name, I'm from Finland) will be spared from pollution.

Thanks for submitting this.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Yes it is a bit too dark at the moment. Glad you liked the animation :)

Tried and liked your game. Left a comment. :) You can check mine here (it is story-driven).

I liked it! Cool minigames, especially the memory game. Played through and enjoyed. Thanks!

I played and commented/rated your game - it was nice short game! If you want you can check mine here

This had nice sounds and art, I really liked how it felt to roll the barrel around and around and it was surprisingly rewarding. There wasn't much to do but to buy upgrades and the game was very short. I would love to have more complex game mechanics to have different outcomes. Maybe a timer and leaderboard system. Anyways - congrats on submitting the game!

I can say that the music and the art style are great. It has an atmosphere of an old game comíng from the aesthetics and from the music. Those two really work together! I guess you run out of time so I'll just say that this has a great base to build on. It has something catchy and nostalgic in it which immediately caught my attention. Keep it up and congrats on submitting this game!

This is really good looking game. I love the art style! Also nice music and sounds and writing. Congrats!

This must be one of the most creative implementation of the theme. I loved the aesthetics, and what kind of music and sounds you chose to use. Time moves slowly and decay takes time. I felt a bit gross and fascinated at the same time - I couldn't stop wanting to get deeper into the flesh. Only one thing bugged me, sometimes I couldn't tell the difference between layers of flesh and it would've given even more boost to the aesthetic pleasure to tell apart a bit more clearly different layers.  Anyways - veeeery nice and kinda mesmerizing game, congrats!

This was a nice driving game! I even finished the track with 43 seconds. I would've loved to get to drive on more maps. Congrats!

I would've loved to try the game it had nice style but for the life of me I couldn't close the Geminus Terminal and it was stuck on my screen after every time I restarted and tried to order seeds. I can't say much about the game but the story premise was promising! At this stage I can't play it though.

(to give some details about the bug: The terminal didn't close from the X or anywhere near it or with any combination of buttons. I even tried to interact with other terminals or objects to get it off but it was very determined to stay there. I could go through the options in the terminal but I didn't find a way to close it. I could ask for more seeds to be delivered but it didn't help the terminal to leave me be)

It would've been nice to have some story objects or something to generate some narrative while drinking and sleeping. Maybe something did change and I didn't notice (though walls did come closer which was nice touch!). It is a bit dull to just wait until something happens. I noticed that you can sleep in the chair and eventually floor crashed beneath me. Game looks good and I would've definitely wanted to proceed from the room. Anyways congrats on submitting a game!

Ok, I haven't worked with UE but this project was kind of all over the place to be honest and gave me a feeling that maybe this was more of a test with the Unreal Engine than a game. I liked how the cows jammed and how you had a day-night-cycle implemented in this. It was very nice touch. Congrats on submitting and keep it up!

I really liked the story and humor. Nice game for a first one! Keep it up!

Very cool world builder! Nice choice of music. I think the game would've benefited greatly from implementing some sounds, say when you edit the world or other sounds of planet life when you go near the planet surface. Anyways -veery nice work! Congrats!

Nicely done with the shooting mechanic! It felt good and game became quickly extremely challenging. Would def loved to hear some sounds but still - it was fun!

Wow - just wow. This was poetic one. I loved the aesthetics and sound design and dialogues. Very polished, well put together, and it is kinda amazing that it was made by one person. Had that Disco Elysium -vibe (which I now see was one of the inspirations). Great submission!

Aesthetics, controls, UI - very nice! I really liked the idea and how theme was implemented. Maybe too much enemies for first wave or at least my home had like million bugs straight up so it became kinda repetitive quickly. But very polished and nice looking game -congrats!
