Thanks fren
It's a recurring feedback, we're including clarity in our list of stuff to polish

Love your game btw! Very charming ^^

Thanks for the feedback Fava ^^
very relevant, and nothing a nice good polish can't fix!

Super nice, chill game
the music is great, and it's actually pretty impressive that you came up with all those item combos
Great job!

Super nice!
A great take on the theme, very creative with all the abilities!
getting these ships is pretty damn satisfying ^^

Design is awesome, Music is great, and the gameplay is really cool with how the different types of enemies complete each other and push you into circulating around the space
Great Job!

Really love the design of everything ^^

This is hilarious x)
well done peeps!

Thank you so much ^^

Thank you ^^
It lacked that little FF7R juice without the synth x'D

I really liked your too, very delicate and subtle ^^

Yeah, don't worry about it too much if you're relatively new to this then ^^
it's a marathon, not a sprint

And if you feel that my notes aren't conducive to your vision, feel free to disregard them entirely :)
The most important thing is that you don't turn it into a chore, you have something going on and a very creative way to put it together and that's already something to be celebrated ^^

I totally understand the urge to put strings everywhere x)

I have the intimate strings on my stuff, they are from spitfire too and they are really cheap
you can also peruse pianobook.co.uk for loads of free stuff ^^

Thanks man :)
we're probably going to add non-entry tracks to the bandcamp playlist ^^ and rework things to make it even more cohesive
Thanks again from me and from all me buddies for taking the time to listen ^^

It's really nice, there are really cool shifts in intensity and ambiance and it shows that you really know how to use all the plug-ins and samples and instruments present here
Some production hiccups here and there but they are easily justified by the general vibe
it's not trying to be more than what it is : A balanced and well-composed OST
and it ends up being very effective in conveying the message behind the music ^^

Okay, i see what role the sax fills now ^^
It's true that there are no proper rhythm section and putting it in the background would've robbed the piece of some of it's energy

The drums never feel repetitive or boring, which is essential in that style
Maybe the melodies need a little bit of development to keep the interest high
Winter sounds like it could have been more but i like the fact that it's a bit dead and silent
it fits well for the theme

It's sounds so good man :o

I love the arrangement, it really feels like traversing a forest with all the inhabiting animals and birds
it has this kind of majesty you get from looking at a beautiful natural landscape, it's beautiful !

I probably would have played with the volume and the reverb of the sax to make it go on the background and support the main melody, it's kind of "in your face" at some times, but maybe this is a choice, in which case feel free to explain : i'm all ears ^^

Okay :
Your composition and orchestration chops are shaaaaaaaarp !
you really know your stuff, you know how to be delicate and create ambiance, you went modal which makes you kind of an exception here.
And i think you made that with only LABS instruments which is awesome and demonstrate that compositional chops are the most powerful tool !

Really the only negative i have is the strings
unfortunately they are not really programmed that well and if it's the LABS strings i think the instrument itself doesn't reach the quality necessary to fit in your musical vision for this ost.

Now i want to stress that :  it's not your fault that you don't have the SUPER UBER strings library of our collective dreams because : those things cost a lot of money to buy them and time to learn how to use them...

But i think in order to serve the production quality, making the choice to ditch the strings for another instruments that could fill their shoes could have been better

Except for that instrument, it's beautifully composed and arranged and i wouldn't be surprised if that was an ost for an actual game in the near future ^^

The addition of the sound effects are really endearing ^^
each track has it's character and some are the best kind of cliché (the kind where you absolutely know that you didn't took it seriously and was in for the laugh too ^^)
the transition being baked into the music shows that you thought about the cohesiveness of this OST, also i want to celebrate your ability to create really effective melodies and to support their presence in the track !
It's really a nice little journey.

Man you really mangled those sounds x)
I really like the strange composition! it has a real metal feel !
Although sometimes the melodic lines have a very nice and particular contour but the instrumentation stays the same under it
I think because of that, some climax and transition can lose power. as i listen i thought there was a few missed opportunity to make something absolutely epic

The level of production is a bit where it suffers the most, we can certainly hear the terrifying heaviness in potential but not in the actual music
and there are some things where you don't really know if you kept it intentionally or not (clipping sounds for example)
The sound design is great you really experimented in trying to make us hear "strangeness" and that's really commendable as an artistic gesture :)
it just needs that production polish to really makes us feel what you want to make us feel

Thank you for all those praises ^^
Honestly some parts are automated but some instruments aren't (mainly because my computer turned into a potato half-way through x)
I relied heavily on orchestration and layering to get the sound i wanted ^^
Thank you again

Thank you ^^

Oh man you're in for a treat then ^^

Thanks you ^^
It's nice to see i did not hallucinated this being good x)
I'm really glad you enjoyed your time :)

yeah their script for looping is really not good, it almost makes the sound clip
(it would help if it was customizable)

Damn ! I can smell the old RPG soundtrack vibes and - I  Love  It!
The bass groove in Autumn sector slaps !
It really fits the lore and the aesthetic you chose :)

(If you happen to do so : don't beat yourself over with the perfect loop thing, Soundcloud isn't very conducive to that, and perfect loops are actually very hard to make, i still have several headaches figuring that shit out every time xD)

Thank you man ^^

Thank you a lot ^^
i'm so happy you liked the composition :)
(i found most of the bells on pianobook.co.uk it's completely free ^^)

Thank you ^^
That's a really nice compliment

Also i saw the stream the other day, thank you for covering everyone ^^
(the nice winds are the "Recorders" from Embertone if you're interested to check them out ^^)

It's really cool
not too much, not to little

just enough to accompany a cozy or epic gameplay, and the instruments you have sound really nice and crisp

The main melody is really strong !
For a first time composing an OST it's pretty nice

Thank you so much man ^^
I think i'll edit my description to put in the librairies, lots of things are free or cheap (and others are kind of expensive)

Thanks for the compliment on the melodies, i nitpick and try to make everything flows but it's always super nice to hear that i didn't hallucinate the music sounding good x'D

Re-listening to your submission, i think you have nothing to worry about considering your chosen aesthetic (which is dope btw) :)
the orchestral parts you made really do what they have to do under the synth scape, it's nice and heavy and it gives poise to the music ^^

Thanks for that journey man
You have really a nice way to accommodate silence which is something i lack a lot
Especially in the Spring part which is very contemplative and graceful

I'd be really interested in talking music with you ^^
we seem to have a bit of the same references
And i'm happy that you went through the process of reconnecting with writing music with intention, it's a labor of love, and it takes a lot out of us
it's nice to see someone aiming toward striking the balance :)

How i love those crazy detailed explanations ^^
Thank you a lot :)

I'll prob find you on facebook :)

That bass drop is niiiiiice !!
It has some super cute Celeste-like vibes ^^

Great OST from beginning to end
Delicate orchestration, warm Bossa
i really like how carefully chosen each thing that we hear seems to be
you know what you are doing friend !

It's really nice
it has the characteristic of background music but you could very well imagine the life of a small coffee shop owner going about their day all year round
I think i needed that calm after a very busy week :)

Pretty nice as a survival sci fi game i would say
Nice one :)

The images you describe in the synopsis fit really well with the music ^^
it's like a free cam tour of an underground city where the fake suns are being forged while the city brims with light, and some places where you can see the acid rain fall
And it doesn't hurt that your brand of EDM is dark, aggressive and very well produced too !

One of the best i've heard !
you're gonna have to tell me how you dialled that guitar tone because it's so damn nice !
really awesome
