Description
I used Abelton, aerophones, idiophones, membraphones, and chordophones. it's woodwind heavy mostly, goes from arriving at a new home, to chilling in summer. For more details on process and isntrumentation check out this page. https://mchaman.itch.io/ost-comp-3-seasons-of-change.
A quick note Stories of Seasons (first one) is the order in which I originally meant for them to be played, it's one file.

Message from the artist:
I'll share what I learned this game jam. Work hard, but don't stress yourself out, you are more important than the work you do, even if it doesn't feel like it.

Theme:

Story of Seasons
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
It's about the seasons, but explores different perspectives and ideas that could be associated with them.

Love that the different themes here! Your list of inspirations was so on point! It was exciting to see what would come next. I'm sorry you had to cut content. I was in a similar boat with a specific song that got cut. Really love your instrument choices and how the songs flow together. And the percussion too, was exciting hearing how each song utilized them differently (from traditional to an almost jazzy vibe at the end!) Would love to see the fully realized version! What you have here, you should be proud of. Nice work! Totally feel you on the work hard/stress drive. I know this very well. Enjoy life to the fullest at a pace that suits you, definitely wisdom in that. Thanks for sharing!

Good job and a great fit for the theme.

I also agree with your takeaway from the jam: I work a full time job and usually have no more than a couple of hours of free time on a good day: at the start of the jam I had plans for five tracks, but a couple of days in I realized that rushing to do everything would have been too stressful, so I settled for focusing on the main theme alone (maybe I'll work on the four seasons themes after the jam).

Developer

Yeah, I'm planning on working on it too after the jam!

Thanks for that journey man
You have really a nice way to accommodate silence which is something i lack a lot
Especially in the Spring part which is very contemplative and graceful

I'd be really interested in talking music with you ^^
we seem to have a bit of the same references
And i'm happy that you went through the process of reconnecting with writing music with intention, it's a labor of love, and it takes a lot out of us
it's nice to see someone aiming toward striking the balance :)

I love the style and composition here, very fitting to what you were going for. I especially like how the "Wind City" develops.

Thank you!
