Description
"The Last Seasons" is an imaginary RPG where you play as a young person trying to save the world. A corrupt corporation has decided that changing seasons throughout the world is having a negative effect on their bottom line, and it's up to you (and some powerful but ephemeral friends, like the melancholy Summer Queen and the energetic Spring Sun)to stop them from ending the seasons as we know it!
The shop theme and the last track are meant to be loopable, and/or interactive as the player moves through different areas. The main theme is meant to be played during an opening cinematic or title screen. I used mostly guitar/piano and orchestral elements in Logic.
Message from the artist:
My submission for OST Composing Jam # 3!
Theme:
How does it fit the theme?
From the beginning, I used the art and colors and drama from the picture to inform my writing process - melancholy and dynamic but with common threads and a sense of urgency. I imagined the main character facing a future where no changing seasons exist, and wanted to create a main theme that was sad but not too heavy (like winter or fall) and a shop or town theme that lightened the mood (like summer or spring). The last track is meant to represent action and conflict - in my imaginary game, this is where the player is fighting or solving puzzles with a time limit. I wanted to make music that celebrated the seasons we experience today, and warned us of a possibly bleak future without them.

I love how you refined the texture with the orchestration of the 1st track, bossa of the 2nd is a pleasant surprise and very effective. 3rd tracks gives me more pronounced RPG vibe, great move on adding guitar here! Remarkable work!
These were great!! I really enjoyed each track, they all felt unique and well arranged! Nice job!
I loved these pieces so much! The harmonies in the main theme were amazing! I also absolutely LOVED the Bossa Nova, especially when the organ entered. The rhythmic drive in “Climb The Mountain, Swim The Ocean” was so, so good as well! Excellent work!
Very nice atmosphere, good work!
love the soundtrack! it's very competently composed, and the melodies are beautiful and memorable! my favorite track was definitely shoppe bossa nova but i may be biased since i like bossa nova so much :)
Really great sounding tracks. The timbre of each instrument is so incredible and rich. I especially love the guitar part on Climb the Mountain. Each note is unexpected yet perfect.
Main Theme: This melody is beautiful and I appreciate how exposed it is, showing that there really aren’t any flaws. The expression with the grace notes is elegant sounding in both the piano and guitar. These decorations take the simple melody to the professional performance level!
Shoppe Bossa Nova: The percussion and the guitar sound so polished that I didn’t even realize the percussion was also recorded at first. This is a very solid track overall and I echo all that everyone has said about it below.
Climb the Mountain: The chord progression and the addition of the piano and guitar at each section makes this sound fresh and exciting even though the basic form does very extensively. I like the RPG adventure sound of the ostinato strings, but I appreciate the jazz influences throughout and gives this a track a very unique flavor that I am certainly a fan of.
Overall: I’m amazed at the integration of both live and sampled sounds. It honestly all sounds live and that is a testament to your skill as a composer, performer, and producer. Thank you for sharing!
Wooow. VERY pleasant and listenable. I could easily hangout for hours while that Shoppe Bossa Nova track plays. It really can't be overstated how lovely your guitar playing and recording quality is, just perfection really. Impressive work.
This music is brain food. I was totally engaged the whole time and did not skip ahead one second. Huge fan of the piano's percussive/hammer sounds being audible for the first song. makes things very intimate. I got shivers at exactly 1:19 :)
No need to say much about the bossa nova track since you should already know how great that one is from the previous comments ;) and the last song had me ready to blast off into space! I was early waiting for the guitar's entrance, and you did indeed deliver.
You have three beautiful compositions here :)
right back at you, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! that ending guitar went through a lot of workshopping, I kept overplaying lol
such a jam !!!!
thanks! I tried to balance delicate depression with having a good time lol
Great OST from beginning to end
Delicate orchestration, warm Bossa
i really like how carefully chosen each thing that we hear seems to be
you know what you are doing friend !
thank you <3
Oooooh that Shoppe Bossa Nova is candy to my ears. Reminds me so much of the Costa Del Sol theme of FFVII, yet manages to be more complex, only missing Joao Gilberto's voice really lol. And that hammond solo, oh lord. Beautiful work overall !
thank you so much!! it was surprisingly difficult to wrangle the hammond lol. between finding the right sound not playing too many notes ;P
this means a lot to me, thank you!!
Overall, really good! The bossa nova theme was a treat.
I think my favorite was the climb the mountain song as it has a great ambience
and the introduction of the drum kit was a nice touch (they all made for a great ambience tbh)
You had me at the bossa nova track
sometimes you just have to submit to the bossa nova
Everything about this screams high quality, from the instruments to the composition to even the cover art. The bossa nova shop was especially on point lol
if your shop doesn't play bossa nova at all hours, is it even a shop? ;P
(also thank you!)
Super chill, I really liked the bossa nova track!
Thank you!!
Incredible. I was floored in seconds, this is ready right now to be put into a finished game. It's apparent you're an incredibly talented musician, with insane flexibility and can change your composition style to what is needed. Loved every second of every track.
This made my day <3 thank you!!
