Thank you for your kind words.
Yeah, Mokou is quite popular when it comes to shipping, but then again a lot of characters in Touhou have a lot of yuri. Mokou just happens to be my absolute favorite character and Keine x Mokou just happens to be my favorite ship. Popularity had nothing to do with this, it was just me wanting to write something interesting about my favorite ship.
I like how Mokou has a lot of backstory that is very deeply involved with japanese folklore and history (which I am absolutely a sucker for) and I like their dynamic. Just the rough and tumble girl that doesn't understand how to deal with people, and the kind teacher who can absolutely beat the shit out of you if you misbehave. They are a power couple in my opinion and there is a lot of potential for a lot of interesting yuri.
I'm also glad that my design came through. The dialogue in that part of the game are ment to be just a natural conversation between two people and you as the player are ment to feel like you are just part of that. As such, the topics are supposed to kind of chain together. Originally, I wanted some more branching within the topics, like you could ask questions on the topic you were talking about and depending on your choices you might even get from talking about the safety on the streets to tewi directly if you were inclined to do that, but sadly there was no time for that. It does take a lot of time to plan and write something like that.

Anyways, I'm glad you enjoyed our game.

Now that I've played it... I'd say I like the idea but I wish there was more to it.
It's very short and the characters and story ideas seem underdeveloped to me. Reimu and Marisa get the most screentime and development (as they should), but any other character that is mentioned (which are a lot, quite frankly) feel a bit tacked on. I just wish there was more characterization and worldbuilding going on. There is some good potential in this, it's just not fully realized.
It feels like the script got the short end of the stick, which is a little sad in a game that is supposed to be story focused (or at least I think the game is supposed to be story focused?). I see some fun potential in a story that revolves around characters playing a tabletop RPG.
That being said, I'm fairly impressed you pulled this off in Renpy, so on a technical level this is pretty good.
I hope (if you plan on continueing work on this) that the game comes out really well at the end. Good luck for that.

It was zipped with WinRAR, so you might want to use that.

Thank you for your kind words.
I'll look into that auto-delay issue of yours.

Yeah there seems to be a bug where the game softlocks when you scroll up on your mousewheel. What's supposed to happen is that it jumps back in the script and shows the previous messages. Instead, it just kinda softlocks. I haven't figured that one out yet, so... uh... keep your finger off the scrollwheel...
If you found another bug, I'm happy to get a bug report for that too

I was making a very broad and general statement, that is true, though. While I myself haven't lived in a situation where my livelyhood was endangered for just being gay, what with me living in a first world country and all... but I have met people who have. Friends of mine do live in situations like this and it is sad. It is sad that such a thing still exists in the world.
But that makes it all the more important to either fight for your right to be who you are, or escape to a place where you can.
I know, easier said then done, but something has to happen.

"You can't let them scare you out of being yourself" is something all LGBT people can and should live by. Like, all of us. Just all of us.

It really do be like that sometimes, and you can't be 100% serious all the time anyways.

Amazing effort. I am amazed.
Gameplay is solid, music is great, writting is witty and goofy and fun, art is incredible, all around amazing. It even has some really unexpected ships that made sense in this setting, color me impressed.

I suck at the mainline games, so I swear I'd have to play this for a long long while before I got to see the ending....
Buuuuuuuut, what I saw was pretty good. It is uncanny how it all just sort of looks and feels like one of the mainline games.
I liked the designs and the music a lot. Good Job

Well, if most of your game's appeal is in text, you might as well go all out I say.
If you don't like VNs normally, the game might be a tad long though I assume, yes.
Anyways, I'm glad you liked it.

Oh my god this game had me in stitches.
It is light-hearted and cute and that is all that matters.

I found the combat in the forest a bit too clunky, I literally only managed to kill one enemy before just dying. Also, the inverted camera just made it borderline unplayable, but thankfully not entirely unplayable. Luckily though running away like the bitch I am helped and I could see the ending.

Amazingly the only other game I've seen so far this jam that tried to not only just include a gay romance, but also highlight how it just be sometimes with being a lesbian, just very goofily.... which is not a bad thing.

I love it. Honestly, I do. The low-poly stuff worked amazingly well and the visual novel segments were beautifully illustrated.

Okay, so, this was fun and interesting.

I felt it had more taken from Nier Automata than Dark Souls. The only thing I could say I recognized as actually Dark Souls was the aesthetic and atmosphere. Well, maybe the crazy damage you recieve.

I was sure that you guys must have played Automata when I saw the pattern on the second bosses second phase. It was a neat reference.

It felt more like Automata with Free-form Air combat, sans melee combat sadly.
I could not hit anything with that melee attack you have. Bullets are way to tightly for melee anyways.
I kinda wished you went full automata and added melee combat that could destroy some bullets. Would've made the game play better in my opion. Oh well.
I actually like the idea of a 3D Bullet Hell game like this, but there were clearly some shortcomings. Who knows, maybe I just underrestimated the dodge and resorted to circle strafing in the air because I was dumb.

Sadly I could not really finish it I think. The game glitched out multiple times on me, first with Yuuka's walking animation breaking, then with a cutscene triggering again after dying on the fairy boss and lastly with whatever I had to do after the third Bossfight not happening. I don't know if that was because time crunch or because the game broke. Oh, also, 11 FPS on average is not great.

Adorable.
I kinda wish it was an ordinary VN but something like this, an interactive book in essence, has some potential too.

I'm terrible at this game, singleplayer is hard. I swear I can not get my girlfriend to play this with me.
That being said, the visuals and music are nice and the general gameplay is well made.
It is also plenty impressive to see a multiplayer game made for a gamejam.
Good Job

I like the music and the art a lot, but I found the gameplay to be a bit frustrating.
Like, I managed to figure out how to do a puzzle, but it was somehow not 'good' enough.  Having a few extra moves you can take before you just loose would've helped.
I also didn't understand that there was a selection I had to make in the dialogue.
It feels like the bossfight is unfair, since I sometimes just get hit without even touching anything.
I don't know if I will ever finish this.
However, I do like the blunt and funny nature of the dialogue. Just my style.

It is in deed a rather relaxing experience. Even if there isn't a lot to the game, like it isn't particularly challenging and basically just a little sandbox, I enjoyed that.
Despite the strange wordchoices and less than stellar english, the sentiment of the story came across at that's what really counts.
Although, I am not a huge fan of Kaguya x Mokou. It might be my least favorite ship, in fact.
It's cute, it works and I had fun.
My only wish would've been a save-feature so I could come back to the garden and decorate some more, because that was pretty fun.

It's a cute idea and I sorta like it, but I can't seem to make any progress beyond meeting Reisen.
I'll check in later and see if the game is fixed.

I'm so glad what I was going for came through in writing.
Hey, yes, I'm the girl who wrote this. Hello!
As you might be able to guess, I'm somewhat biased when it comes to Mokou.
Thank you for your kind words.
We all worked really had on this and I'm very glad you liked it.
If you were wondering about actual wordcount, it is somewhere around 9500 words.

Can't say I can't relate, because the one time I had time to join the Touhou Jam, we didn't get anything done because everyone had busy schedueles and so all that really happened was a very barebones plattformer with an animated character that (which I'm still pretty proud of, admitedly).

Well, as long as you had fun I guess.

Ma'am, actually but whatever. Its alright. I hope you had fun making this. Thats the important part.

You didn't need to break yourself over this but you did it anyways, you absolute madlads.

Just know that if you were to make this a full game, I would probably buy it

Yeah problem is I would have to burn all the items I have to beat one apparition, I was THAT underleveled. So, I can't backtrack to grind myself up to be able to beat the Apparitions with not too much effort, and I can't beat the apparitions without burning all the items I will no doubt use elsewhere (read: in a boss fight, and not for grinding).

It was my fault really.

Norse mythology and lesbians. As a german gay girl, this is basically right up my alley.

Solid game overall, cute artwork, funny little story and challenging bossfights.
Only two things though: Mjölnir wasn't all that useful. I used it to beat Wakasagihime faster and then only used bullets because there was simply no good window to get in close and whack them.
Also, Reimu was very slow. Running with shift helped, but having to hold shift the entire time sucked.

Overall, pretty good effort though.

It looks cute as hell, the animations are nice and bouncy and the writing has a lot of charm.
I just wished it was a little longer towards the end. The final item was so much fun to control that I wished I could've done something more with it.

Oh well, really good effort.

I have to admit that I didn't finish this, because I absolutely fucked myself by running to yukari as fast as possible and then saving, because I basically locked myself from backtracking and so I couldn't grind and the Cirno bossfight absolutely wrecked me.

What I saw was very charming though and I really really want to finish this when I have time. I hope it keeps the funny going.

Made me laugh, and it was probably the most "folk-lore" game of the entire jam. I mean, this did read like a japanese fairytale. Good stuff.

I mean, its pacman, but its touhou pacman with cute pixel art...

personally I found the game to be a little unfair. Given, I'm not very good at Pacman but I felt like I could not defend myself or at least outrun the ghosts. Adding trivia to the mix is thematically pretty neat, but holy shit does it ever make this game more difficult.

Overall, good game but too hard for my liking

What a neat game.

Most impressive is (of course) that its a gameboy advance game of all things, but narratively its solidly written. Its nothing too crazy but considering its on gameboy, it IS overall pretty wild that you guys did this.

You absolute madlads. I applaude you.

I really like the presentation of this game, but I don't really get the gameplay (I guess I never played robotron, so I gueeeessssss?)

Uhhhh, I can't really get past the second level because Suika just stops doing anything?

Well, I guess it works and thats something.

I suck at this game so much, it frustrated me a lot. I don't think I'm really qualified to rate this game, but I have to say that you can see the effort put into it.

I also like Sekibanki a lot and making her a headless horseman was a great idea.

Fast, short and sweet little micro-game. I had my fun with it, even though I have to say, there is not much to it. Gets a thumbs up from me for sure

Good rendition of triple triads.

I'm not sure how this really ties into the theme and hard was freaking impossible (for me at least, can't say I particularly played Triple triads all that much) but overall solid game.

Neat little game.

Its a little simplistic, and I had no clue on where to go at any given time, but outside of that, good effort

I have no idea what this has to do with Touhou besides the shmup gameplay and what it has to do with the theme except for the title.

The opening is probably the best part about the game, aside from the music that is pretty nice (despite the fact it doesn't scream touhou in any way).

The gameplay is kinda lacking. Enemies are more of an annoyance than a threat and thus the shield feels pretty useless. At like Level 3 dodging becomes basically impossible because your hitbox is so big and there are about three million projectiles.
Enemies sponge way too much damage and it all just really drags on and on.

Overall, it's so-so. It works, it does what it sets out to do, but it lacks any connection to the theme, which is sad.

Uhm... I have no clue what just happened.
I can't really understand what they are saying and since that was all there was to the game, I can't really rate the game...

Cute game with a sad sad story.

I wish it was longer and the controls in space would've been less awkward. I never knew which way to rotate to go the way I wanted. The idea has some potential though

Its a cute and very challenging game. Probably the best rythm game this time around.

I would have prefered though if the beats would've went vertically, so the connection between the left and the right side would have been stronger. It probably would have also made the game easier to play and in turn the challenge more fair.
