The drag and drop ui was my favorite part, network part was ok

I loved fiddling around with this! Great game, and its awesome that you put together something multiplayer in two weeks. Nice work! I especially liked that you could see the aberrations people on the scoreboard made.

I really liked this game! I got a little sad because during step 5, the game just sat still and wouldn't advance my turn :/

I'm glad the game saves progress because reloading let me continue :)

I really liked the concept and found the game to be really fun!

This is just amazing I love the concept and the implementation, it's so addictive trying to figure out good combinations, I managed to reach #23 and I immediately wanted to try again, but gotta play other games haha.

Visual are good too, it's just such a fun take on the theme.

So far my favorite of the Jam gameplay-wise!

I like how all the foes you fight are other players on the leaderboard, but because the fights are automatic, they don't have to be online in order to face them. Save scumming might be an issue though. I swear there was another game like this one but I can't quite remember what it was, so I'm just going to act as if the whole modular fighting concept is new. I hope somebody will knock me off the top of the leaderboard. Is it possible to get past step 16 and level 8?

I thought that it would be funny to literally enter "Your Username" and now I'm regretting it. Good game!

Thanks shnaz and congrats on reaching #1! :)

There are some bugs, exploits and lack of content but I hope to work on it after the jam!

The game you might think of is "Super auto pets"

The only cap is max step, which is the current leaderboard one, if you beat current #1 on step x, you will enter a final preparation phase and your creature will be register for step x+1. But I think we might be hitting the current versions limit there

Great work! I like the "plop-plop" sounds and juicy graphics. Editing could use improvement to make it possible to add a part from the right without needing to add them all back in order, but otherwise well done! :)

It’s like you tributed sound to make a game that has both multiplayer and a cohesive visual style. Very impressive!

Very well done! Some bugs happened, like one time my aberration health got into -1 and became immortal, and in one bug the game loop stopped. Other than these, it looks well polished and done, good job!

its rare to see online games made for a game jam, thats cool

That was really fun and a creative take on the theme! I really enjoyed experimenting with different builds - in the end a cancer build got me to 1st place. Ran into a few bugs - the most annoying was occasionally when a unit reaches 0 health, it would become invincible instead of dying. But overall, I had a lot of fun, and I'm really impressed that you built a multiplayer game in such a short time!

Submitted(+1)

I found that the invincible unit bug happens when you have a unit on the second row being buffed by an ear. When that unit falls to the first row, it loses the ear buff, which can cause its health to become negative, but it doesn't trigger its death, so it becomes invincible.

Thanks a lot for the head up and congrats on reaching #1 ! :)
Unfortunately we'll have to wait until voting period end before releasing the bug fix !

Already mentioned it in the comments, but this concept is the most original I've seen in the jam and the replayability is huge. Definitely a highlight for me and it's a game I know I'll be coming back to (as I already have a couple of times already lol)

Very cool, Impressive that you were able to build this in two weeks! Many interesting directions you could continue to take it in

Super awesome game, just wish it was more balanced. Either that or I'm just bad at it. Also kinda wish there was music and more sounds, but for a jam this is really good!

I really like super auto pets, and this game reminded me a lot of it, but I think it’s actually got potential to be better than it. As was said before a small tutorial would go a long way, but I think this game is really cool, and would love to see where it goes if you have any plans.

Developer

Its basically a super auto pets remake :) And yeah the second dimension can add some potential, but I've been struggling to find intersting mecanics during the jam. Hope to get back to it later !

Cool art style! I was a bit confused when first making my character, so if the game gets expanded, maybe that could have more exaplanation

One of the most creative games I have played in the jam! I would call it pokemon with body parts but is more than that, is your own creation, I love how you can match and piece out your monstrosity hhahaa!

Great stuff! Really fun take on turn based and online single player!

Love the mechanics!

Pretty solid experience, enjoyed losing and great fun.
I wish there weren't quite so many "to top slot" organs incase this game continues development.

very deep game, i had no clue what is was doing.

reminds be a bit of that battle pets game where you have to make a team of pets that buff each other

Very entertaining, and the fact that it is online and you fight against other players' builds is amazing. I had a similar idea in terms of Aberrations as mutants built from different body parts with different properties, but your idea is definitely more interesting and implements stats in a smarter way.

Ok game was good but still confused what we need to do.
