I really like the artistic direction and the fact that you guys actually did some voice acting for it. It's entertaining, but the whole collision and navigation was a bit too annoying for me, so I was not able to finish the game. Great game, nevertheless, it has a lot of potential! <3

Thank you so much for testing it out! Sorry if the gameplay is not very intuitive yet 😅 Yes, you need to use the capturing pentagram indeed, and it has an activation time of 2 seconds (indicated by the VFX animation), so you can't abuse it. You can also check your journal; there is the Loadout page, which offers more details about what each tool does. But thank you again for trying it out and leaving this feedback. Much appreciated! 🙏
Such a cool game! It reminded me a lot of the original Slender Man game. I got such a nostalgic feeling from it. Really well done, the pages and upgrades concept is well-rounded, I like the static interference visual cue when the monster is nearby, and just waiting for that hatch to happen makes me feel so god damn anxious. Congrats! 😁
Stunning visuals and atmosphere, unfortunately, I was not able to solve the puzzle, since I’m a scardy cat, but I feel like the story so far has a lot of profundity to it. Knowing that the Deer thing approaches every time I’m looking away makes me so anxious 😭 Maybe, the only technical remark would be the cursor speed, for me it felt a bit too slow, but maybe that was intentional 🤔
Really creepy. Makes you feel really helpless at first, and once you try it again and again, you feel the power and the bloodlust that originates from your decisions. I’m in general not a big fan of visual novels, but this one I liked. I especially liked the allegorical side of it, and the fact that you could always retry it with different options. On the technical side, I think the scenes are a bit flaky, with characters disappearing sometimes randomly, but the general look and feel of the game is on point. Congrats! 🤩
Also, do you have any recommendations for creating visual novels in Godot? I’m curious about what plug-ins/tools you used for it.
This game mainly revolves around learning the architecture of the house and navigating the character in time at the right doors. Since I’m really bad with directions, it felt pretty difficult for me. But really interesting concept. I like how you brought such a simple idea to life, and in general, the artistic direction of this game is really cool. The character controller and the camera angles are a bit confusing at first, but you slowly get used to them. I’m really curious how it ends. 😭 Btw, badass game over animation =))
Cool looking game, fits the theme perfectly, and it's actually pretty scary. The sound design and aesthetics are a huge strong point. I really like the minimalist approach. The only complaint would be on the usability side, as controls are a bit unconventional. I had to spend a lot of time getting out of the parking lot (maybe a safe-zone area at the start of the map would be helpful, or a setup time), and you are not able to skip the ending and the beginning scenes, which take a lot of time if you just want to try it over and over again. But the fact that you are now allowed to make any noises, and you need to be very careful with every decision that you make, really adds to the spookiness and anxiousness that this game makes you feel. Congratulations! 🤩
Such a cool game! I really liked that you could also drag the cubes, this is a mechanic that should be implemented in more puzzle games imho. Moreover, I found the "changing brightness" mechanic very creative. I would've loved to see the "change resolution" mechanic being used as well, but given the time constraints of a game jam, I know how hard it is to design all sorts of puzzles and levels. Great job!
It was indeed a bit repetitive, we had some more interesting ideas on the plate, like obstacles, rare collectibles, a fish bestiary, etc. But unfortunately the time frame got us in the end. So we focused more on polishing and balancing it.
But nonetheless, thank you for trying it out and giving us feedback 🙏
That "Jack in the Box" is a nightmare, I don't know if I should jump over it using the medium form or the big one and then get small real quick just after. But the game is as enjoyable as frustrating it is, and I really tried to reach a high score (10.000), which I'm pretty happy about =))
The artstyle is also amazing, great work!
