I actually liked the movement, was a lot like Clustertruck and is a lot more fun than the normal movement. Same Idea, making the game in school holidays =)

This was really fun! I liked the atmosphere of the levels and the fact that each had their own gimmick you had to figure out and adjust to. The only real critique I have is that I felt punished for going too fast since the momentum was so high, and I would just overshoot the next platform. I feel like leaning more into that and spacing them out further would have felt better than needing to readjust with the s key. Other than that, I had fun beating all the levels! Good luck with the other games you mentioned in the easter egg!

It's a nice firs person platformer, it would have benefited from a "back to main hub" option in the menu. Very clear on the objectives and a very good visual presentation.

I love the lava and the sound effects, the lights are looking great! You did a really good job there, atomsphere is great, nice post processing :D

Nice game! Takes me back to strafe jumping in quake or maybe some counter strike surf maps. I like that style of gameplay and I really like the easter eggs and the varying atmosphere in some of the levels. I struggled to beat level 5 & 7 and gave up on 8 :'(. I tried for a while to get the easter egg on 7 but gave up in favor of beating the level. I like the momentum building and the timing but I found it frustrating when you feel like you nailed it but your jump just barely wasn't high enough and you clip the front lip of the next platform. Maybe if your jump height was just half a float higher or something. Also I would have loved if you could press 'R' to reset as well. Anyways, super addicting and platforming is always a fun challenge. Thanks for the game, keep up the good work!

Developer

Thanks man your gme is awesome, thanks for rating and commenting. And yeah I will update the game after the game jam.

This game has some cool things going on, but they clash kinda awkwardly. Let me explain - the movement is extremely fast, fluid, you're constantly accelerating, something like Quake, which is really cool. But the levels on the other hand require really precise movement. And this makes for a weird combination where you are really fast and it is satisfying to constantly jump boost yourself, but you get instantly killed if you try to do that.

I've still beaten the whole game and had some fun, but it'd be WAY better if you focused less on platform-to-platform jumping and more flow gameplay.

Good luck with the games that you've planned!

Developer

Thanks yeah I did this game in 2 days, but after the gamejam I will update it for sure. Thanks for your honest feedback

Pretty fun game, some levels were a bit difficult, but satisfied when completed

I feel like if it had music and sounds, it would be great, but for now, it is a good game. Pretty fun, would play again.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

thanks very cool

The game is very fun and also a bit addicting, the movement is a bit floaty for me. But it is a great game good job

Good job for a jam game. I found the physic really weird and too much "random". The acceleration and breaking friction are hard to understand and apply. It also lacks of a feedback when touching the ground (of a platform, not the dead zone) because when I'm surfing from platform to another, I can't be sure that I landed on the ground.

Also, I found some secrets. What does that mean? :P

Developer

yeah the secrets are just like hints and did you see the last portal

Submitted

The "Stay tuned..." message? Found it.

By the way, I found a hack/cut for the level 8. I you stay on the movable platforme (the one that move with the player velocity), you can safelty reach the end of the level.

Developer(+1)

I mean like if you finish all levels, when on every door it says completed a portal will come from the bottom to the top and when you go through it you are getting to a place. Also there are secrets in every game and in one level the green one there is two.  I want to make a series out of my games and want the characters meet eachother. This game is a spin off and you get like sorta side news to the series.

And I didn't know that, but like every professional game dev do I am gonna call it a feature and not a bug.

Hi,

not a easy game.

the player movement is a bit too slippery,

and the random double jump is a bit confusing too,

For the non-static platforms it would be good to have a sound for the player to say “Watch out, something is happening here”.

Apart from the few minor things, well done!

It's really hard for me to get use to the control. Took me a lot of tries to complete level 1, but I made it to level 3. I haven't played this kind of game before. So, I don't really know much to comment on the gameplay. Haha. But I think I would enjoy it more if the controls were a bit easier.

I'm not sure if it's my audio settings, but I can hardly hear the sfx or any kind of audio in the game. But I really like the different atmosphere on every different level. Good job!

Good job

Movement was a little difficult but I enjoyed it. The graphics and atmosphere are really well done, and I liked the unique platforming of the different levels.

Submitted

The movement is a little odd but playing a couple levels I started to like it. I think having a timer to see how quick you beat the level would be awesome, so you could try to go for faster times.

I also wish when I paused during a level that I could either go back to the door room, or go back to the menu.

Developer(+1)

yeah I didn't had that much time to finish that, I made the game in 2 days, but after the game jam I will add a timer and some menu settings as well.

Submitted

I can definitely understand that, overall I thought it was pretty fun!

Developer(+1)

thanks man your game is amazing to

Submitted

Cool game, but the movement is a little bit clunky with the momentum. Overall like it though, good work!

Your game is really cool! I liked the way you approached the Jam theme. At first I was a little lost, but over time I got the hang of it. Great Work!

Developer

thanks man very coo

Game looks great.  Theme fits.  Could have used some music.  I feel like I'd have gone with different levels given the momentum based movement.  It was quite tricky.  You want to move fast with this sort of control system, but the design required precision.  Good effort.

Developer

yeah I wanted to make music but I made this game in 2 days so I didn't had the time to finish it, so I used some ambience sounds which were no copyright.

Submitted

Really enjoyed it! took time to get a hang of it but i got through a level ! Graphics were great! URP or HDRP? Or Just some gangster post processing?

Developer

All I did was: I adjusted the light a little not to hight but made it a little bit, I baked fog and with some heavy postprocessing clapped it together and I got those graphics. And it's the normal I didn't use URP or HDRP. Thanks that you liked the game.

Submitted

It's impressive for standard render pipeline!

Submitted

good game dude, but i had to get used to the momentum based movement :)
