Very original game! I haven't seen any game like this one. Fits the game perfectly, spawn hint, text animations, special enemy movement, fantastic pixel art, All of these make the game a fantastic experience. This game kinda reminds me of GMTK roles reversed theme. Well done!! I hadn't reached  to your skill level yet. So I can't give any useful tips. Sorry. Of course I think you can add some sort of mutation upgrades. Maybe some increased speed or dash ability or the mutation "ring" appears faster or you get more health as bubble. Some smarter enemies must be also cool in the mutation mode. Sorry those were the only ideas that I could think of.

Congratulations on submitting! I think the game would have looked just slightly better if you stuck to a color palette with fewer colors, but it still looked really good. The animations when mutating and the death animation looked quite good. Great job!

Everything is very cool: gameplay, graphics, sound. The concept is simple, but it works!

I loved the sounds! You put a lot of attention on the small details.

The game-play loop is also pretty fun.

Only think I could say is that I wish there was some more variety (power ups, enemies, etc.)

But everything is pretty solid already xD

Glad you enjoy the core game loop! I think knowing that it works at this stage is going to inspire me to keep adding more layers now that I've got this working as a prototype. Definitely will be brainstorming some more enemy types now.

Also glad you appreciate the sound design! I had a lot of fun adding in those details so everything has a bit of audio feedback to the player.

It's a good idea and it's fun to play. Except that the full health regeneration makes things a bit easier. Good job, especially for a solo developer!

I think you're right. I may have overdone the healing a bit. Maybe every 2-3 levels would be better, or just reduce the amount per level. I'll definitely give it a bit of thought how best to balance it! Thanks for the feedback :)

Incredible work!

This is a quick and understandable gameplay loop that steadily gets more difficult over time. It's satisfying to sweep your mouse over the enemies you were just being so delicate around, and it really makes you focus to dodge foes at later stages. It's fun, simply put.

Not only is it fun though. It's clear that you put a lot of attention towards player feeling and feedback. Each time you are hit, the damage sound effect pitching down is a way for players to instantly know around how much health they have. Each time your mutation finishes, there's a grace period where you can't be hurt. When the player is wildly flinging their mouse around, they're bound to mistime their mutation, and you anticipated that.

Simple and short, but incredibly well done... And as a solo-dev?! Way to go!

No doubt in my mind this is one of the winners.

thank you! I'm glad you liked the movement. I tried to make something that felt like how a bubble might move, without following the cursor exactly, but not feeling too laggy either.
