Very nice monochromatic art style. I'm a sucker for 2d sidescrolling horror games so this felt real good to me. The audio present is well done but it did feel like a little more sounds could be added, or maybe I just feel that way from how low the music was. As some others said, not being able to go left felt like a punishment. There were some strange illogical kinda things that I couldn't help but question: Who locks their kitchen? Who puts the doorknob to their bathroom door in the basement? Maybe the victim was just a shitty roommate to the protag though... This is well put together, even if feeling a bit empty story-wise. The UI functions well and the game does a good job of guiding the player through each step. Nice work!

- Quite a dark and morbid tone! The idea of a progressive decay slowing tearing the house apart pairs well with the dour grey sprites. I'd love to know more about our murderer and his thoughts and motives! Great work for a jam game.

Very neat short game! As others have mentioned the art direction is a definite highlight, as well as how the setting changes over time. I think having it so that the player can move backwards between rooms instead of only forward would've been nice, but the reality of a game jam is that some features get cut! Overall a great entry!
Thank you for playing, The reason for not letting the player go backwards was to put more emphasis on the looping aspect of the game (also it saved me a bunch of time lol), the sequential degradation of the house would be somewhat obsolete if the player could go back and break the loop, I agree it takes away freedom but it made sense with what I wanted to do with the game, I appreciate your feedback and glad you had fun.
The House is getting worse the more you venture, Pretty Neat Stuff!
I love the withering effect after walking a certain time, Though the game is leaning more toward a walking simulator (which I don't mind at all since it's a jam game) Cool stuff overall!
Awesome game. The art is incredible, with the home deteriorating over time, which looked amazing. The story is dark and well writen. And I really like how the house loops on itself, and being able to only move forwards. I dont really have any feeback to give. Just a very good entry!
Great game, Keep it up♥
The artstyle is realy good, i love that everything becomes weirder and weirder. Story for that short game is great. The only thing i would say is, it could be a little bit less straight lined and more of a puzzle game.
I really have a lot of thoughts about this game! At first I was a little frustrated because I felt I was sort of moving through the game at random waiting for interactions to appear, and I wished I had more of a sense of where I was going. But I started to really appreciate the way that I was being led along, and also the way that the house loops so you can go forward endlessly but never turn back. It's as if the space itself is telling a story about being driven forwards to some inevitable conclusion. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but the structure of the game combined with the beautiful monotone pixel art and the steadily deteriorating house created a palpable atmosphere of dread for me. TBH wasn't a big fan of the actual ending, it felt a little cliche. But I really liked the experience otherwise.
Wow, this game is actually impressive! The art style flows really well, the ambient track and sound effects were really clean, the story was well told, and most of all, the gameplay wasn't ambiguous. I actually knew what I was doing for this game, and the controls were really simple. You did a great job!
The gameplay was super simple, but the story telling was incredibly well done. You managed to fill in a story line with only one word of dialogue and environment changes. Very underrated skill to have, and I really enjoyed that aspect of it.
I love the athmosphere, aesthetics and music ! The end surprised me ! Well done !
Artstyle is amazing ! Good job.
I see other people commenting the music but I didn't hear anything ??
Is it me or did someone else reported you the same issue ?
Love the art and general aesthetic, especially the color choices. It was really cool to see the house slowly deteriorate. My only complaint would be it's a bit too easy/linear
