Extremely hard, I've not able to place a single ship into the harbor. However, the idea feels unique.

Here I recorded a video playing some 1-Bit games (yours is the first one):

uff im sorry, I saw the frustration, thanks for posting that video, I could more clearly see what are some things I could change in the future thanks for playing!

Awesome concept and well put together. Loved it!

Nice little game, good job! Sometimes the sea monsters start too close to the ship or are moving too fast for the ship to get out of the way. Maybe let the ships defend themselves with harpoons against a close-by monster (if it's illuminated)?

Great concept, and creative idea for the game jam theme. You did good!

Very hard game to master but very nice implementation and idea :)  was really fun!

Please rate my game too :)

Very challenging game, and nice use of the theme!

Great idea for this theme, I was thinking about something like that aswell! Love to see somebody sticking to this idea!

It'd be great to have waves in the game getting harder slowly over time. The light feels more like pushing aside the ship rather than guiding them, but that's okay. The concept is unique and challenging to play! Great work :D

Very cool concept.

Would like to see the difficulty dialled down a bit at the very start, but still fun trying manage multiple boats.

Love the lighthouse art on the title screen.

I like the concept, now as others said it is hard to score a lot but you just need some fixing to be done! Keep it up!

Submitted(+1)

the concept seems simple... but actually no, it's hard, managing to keep an eye on every obstacle is not easy, but it's really cool

Developer

Thank you for giving it a try! I really need to work on the difficulty in future iterations lol

I loved all of this! The game is surprisingly harder than it looks, but I did manage to get 5 ships to the harbor! I don't feel I need to bring up the ships that were lost, but they, and their crew will be remembered....

Also, that menu music has me thinking about lavender town ... ;)

Developer

I feel like 5 ships is a an accomplishment! xD oh yeah my brother wrote the song, and i think the inspiration is there, thanks for playing!!

Hard but challenging after some times. I think i'm not vey good at this kind of game x)

Love the music ! Good game !

Developer

Thanks for giving the game a try, i appreciate the effort even tho the games difficulty is way higher than i wanted xD

Damn, the concept seems so simple, but so interesting! Keeping track of every object is difficult, especially when they start to twitch a little chaotically. In general, a cool game!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words and for giving it a play! yeah i think once i added the big ships the game got way harder xD i need to find ways to decrease difficulty.

I liked the idea, but the ships coming randomly have made the game much more challenging. You can change random instantiate algorithm.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I do need to figure out how not to get some of those tricky situations where sea monsters spawn close to your ships, and similar situations.

I love the premise! I didn't love losing lives to situations that seemed entirely out of my control, such as a dragon and a ship spawning nearly on top of each other on the opposite side of my light. Or a ship moving too slowly to avoid death even if I reacted with the best possible time. It was super exciting to see my ships cross the finish line! Very paternal. I wish i could switch the light on and off. Sometimes there wasn't enough time to weave all the way around my ships in order to push them the direction opposite of my approach.

Thank you for all the feedback! I can see you spend a bit of time playing it, your comment was super encouraging! Will need to go back and add some of those issues you brought up! Thanks for playing Wabi-sabi.

Nice job! This is a nice take on the theme i really liked the gameplay although i wish the ships were a little more responsive to the light. Also the music was great! Well done :D

Developer
