Really slick graphics, did you make those or are they from an asset pack? The controls feel really tight, nice little shooter you've got there. I hope you get to develop it further!

And if you haven't had a chance to check out my game Foxy Boom Boxy, I would appreciate any feedback, thanks!

Developer

Thanks a bunch :D the player and enemy sprites are a modified asset from itch credited in the description, while the level tiles were made from scratch by yours truly! Which, thinking now about it, wasn't maybe the best idea, since it become a layers monstruosity on Aseprite for just a single level, and I couldn't bring myself to remake the whole process for the second one D: but glad that you liked it, I love making some fancy arted levels!

Awesome, well it all looks great!

Really cool prototype with tons of potential. I really enjoyed The ways players interacted with the environment, though I recommend there to be more visual design that complements the environment, like the character falling down a pit for example.

The weapons are simple to understand though they are kinda weak at the moment, although I would think having an automatic weapon might be too strong.

Still, this has serious potential.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated! Agree that it needs some more animation flavor, it was a quick rush to deliver the artpass during the last two days unfortunately :P and yeah, I kinda was against an auto weapon as you've said, leaning more on interesting, powerful and versatile weapons with limited resources instead. But as it stands, there definitely at least needs to be more ammo on the level for sure. If we'll update the game some buffs are definitely in order!

Developer

Interesting concept I love the art style 8/10 game to me . please rate my game

Developer

Thanks a bunch!

Please check out my game

I think you should keep on working on it to make a commercial version, really!

Developer

Nice, thanks! I'd love to make some money for sure $_$ we'll see how it goes on the jam!

Submitted(+1)

Wow! That arena is so cool! Great work!

Developer

Thanks a lot! :D

Submitted(+1)

The concept is quite neat. Just the movement is quite slippery and I thought at first that I'm the one who will use the switch. The art is great! Just few polish on the gameplay and it will be great!

Developer

Thanks! Movement should be tuned and revised for sure, we'll see what we can do :)

A little too fast for me, but that doesn't mean it's bad. I like the details, for example when the tone of the whole game goes from red to blue and the particles follow it. I'm bad at it, but it was a pleasure to open a trap under the opponent.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

So much fun even though I am so bad at it. The level is so clever with the doors and trapdoors switching on/off along with the robots works so well. Would have liked some beefier audio, but all in all great jam game. Hope you keep working on it after the jam

Developer(+2)

I am currently not the best with audio, but it's definitely something to look into for the future. I'm glad that you enjoyed the game. As for the future of the game, that depends on my team. So, I cannot guarantee any updates but I'm sure that with enough interest, there would be some.

Developer(+1)

Yep, I'd personally love to update the game in the future! Let's see how well it goes on the jam :)

Submitted(+1)

I love the game idea ! :D

You have On/Off traps to press and kill the enemies ! :0 love the idea ! <3

Would be epic if you can add a lil background music :D

overall, well made !

Developer(+1)

Working on sound is definitely a must for future jams. Unfortunately no one in my team knew how to compose music.

Submitted(+2)

Somewhat difficult for me personally 😅
But besides that it feels really good to play and the art is awesome, I also think it is a very creative take on the theme

Developer

Thanks a lot, glad you tried it! :)

Submitted(+1)

Nice!

Submitted(+1)

What I liked the most: The general concept of constant switching and the grenade launcher mechanic.

What I least liked: red laser on red mats not bad to see and sound (or lack thereof)

It was difficult to understand at first how the game works and that it was possible to push frozen enemies.

Developer(+1)

A few people have said that there's a lack of clarity to elements of game so it's definitely something to work on in future games. Glad that you liked the weapons mechanics though!

Submitted(+1)

enjoyed this. Fun and arcadyyy. I liked the weapon upgrades and the traps. Well done 👏

Submitted(+1)

Good idea!

Developer

Thanks!

Submitted(+1)

It really feels like a solid foundation for a commercial game outside the jam. Controls are smooth, trap mechanics are fun. Especially loved the charged attack system.

Developer

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate those words! :) The charging weapon was there from the start of the prototype, glad it was worth the development time haha

Submitted(+1)

Ah yes this one! Really awesome level design, I think it could definitely be a fun little game if you added more levels. The ON/OFF mechanic was engaging enough, but mostly I was looking towards getting more ammo and trying to shoot the enemies. Well done!

Developer

Glad you liked it! We had planned to make more levels with leaderboard support, unfortunately I couldn't finish the artpass for those in time. Maybe with a future update if there's enough interest :D

Submitted(+1)

Pretty entertaining, personally I feel the speed is too high but if that’s what you were looking for then congratulations!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! :)

Submitted

I love the concept but there is room for improvement. Well done :)

Would you mind taking a moment to check out my game as well and provide a rating? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Game Link

Really creative approach to the theme, but I feel like you always need to rush to grab the next ammo, so getting a bit more bullets per ammo pickup would be neat

Developer

I appreciate the comment! I can definitely see that the ammo drains a bit quickly.
