I like resource management and survival games, glad to see you took on this style for the jam! I also like the art style and music, very nice! I hope to see you do more with the concept. Thank you for sharing!

And if you get a chance to check out my game Foxy Boom Boxy, I would appreciate any feedback, thanks!

Developer

Thanks a lot man! I'll make sure to check out your game!

Can't say that the theme On/Off has been followed by the letter here, biut it's a good effort for sure! Maybe reducing the time for finishing the game to one week instead of 30 days could be better for the pacing

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I did try in development, but the game was far too easy. Thanks anyway!

very cool idea, but I had water and food,  and suddenly I died, maybe if you have resources automatically used at the end of each turn or something like that.

Developer

That's a pretty good idea but, I want to give the player the option to save their food and keep it for the next turn. Also, based on how you described your death, your members were hungry and/or thirsty the last turn, and when you came back with food and/or water they had died as a result of a poor strategy. Thank you for the feedback!

oh I see, yeah I left them starving hehe, there is no way to tell if they will survive, maybe also let the player know how many minimun points of water and food they will require or so.

A grim future, indeed. The controls were fairly intuitive, though I couldn't figure out what the sacks in the overworld were. I liked running around, frantically scavenging the dead world.

Didn't work on firefox for some reason; had to switch to chrome. Not that it matters much.

Good work!

Thanks a lot for the positive feedback! None of my games work with Firefox and its something that I cannot fix. Thanks again for the positive comment! (Also the sacks were a money feature that I never got to finishing)

Made sure to give you a rating

Can you check out my game too?

After 3-4 tries, I managed to survive, but on the last playtrough I had to let the signing player die of the thirtst :( althought the game itself is great, maybe drop down the story into a bit easier chunks, like 2-3 sentences per click… Overall a pretty neat and well put together “survival” game

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! After the jam I'm gonna work on it a bit more and finish some things up. Thanks anyway!

First playthrough, I named the characters after myself and two mates, two mates who seemed to keep losing bread, because I would lose bread would I? Definitely not me. This resulted in me sending out everyone but me, allowing me to survive and not lose the bread...

...And then I lost the bread... It was me all along, and there I was alone...

Second run I had to make it up to my teammates, I played to win, but sadly couldn't quite make it to 30 days...

Genuinely had fun playing this, the how to guide was a good addition, hopefully others read it before playing also!

This is so cool! I love hearing stories about peoples playthroughs. Some people are too lazy to read though and gave it a low rating which is really annoying. Thanks for the positive feedback

Your game intrigued me, although I struggled to comprehend the game's objective. Still, I commend your effort.

Moreover, I'd like to kindly ask for a moment of your time to experience my game, share your insights, and offer a rating. You can find it here: Game Link (And don't miss the chance to have your name featured on the leaderboard for a playful touch! 😆)

Did you read the how to play guide? If you did, I can rewrite it so that people can understand the game better.

Sorry, I missed that part. I will give it a try again!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! The game also has a randomly generated backstory at the beginning of the game that gives some context for why your characters are in a bunker and as well as that, gives you the goal to survive until day 30.

Not sure what I was doing to be honest. Kinda felt like my actions had no consequences? I just kinda sent out people randomly and then I'd get food/water (and people's bars would go down).
