Thank you, I am glad you had fun! I really did try my best at making sure that the game isn't too easy or too hard so I am glad to hear that :D

it's weird because I am using .wav and the issue occurred specifically after I exported it to web. My theories are that either I hit an unfortunate web bug or there is something wrong with my web export template which causes the delay in the music loop. I just hope that it isn't too bothersome when playing 🙏

Thank you so much for playing and taking time to comment!

I definitely didn't know about the fn F2 bug, gotta have to figure out why that is 😅
I do know about the sound problem but it is very specific to the web build and I can't for the life of me figure out why 🤔
But anyway I really appreciate you reporting it!

Understandable and good point, some friends also pointed that out to me after I had submitted 😅
Thank you so much for playing and leaving a comment I really appreciate the constructive feedback :D

This might be my personal favorite of the jam. It has a very clever take on the theme where you actually have to cooperate with your robot to get through the puzzles which I enjoyed very much, and it was done exceptionally well. I had a really fun time playing this! If this jam had ratings I would give it 5/5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

You guys absolutely cooked with this game. It's so impressive that you made something that looks and feels so professional in such a short time span  👏👏

The game looks and sounds gorgeous and generally it is just extremely well designed. This game has enough polish that you could just straight up slap it on top of a Steam store page. Well done, very impressive!

This one is so cute and I absolutely adore the hand drawn art! Me and Robovac will go on to destroy all the doors in our way 😈

I love small neat puzzle games like this one! it's very cleverly designed

This is really cute. I especially like the 1-bit graphics

I am not the biggest idle clicker player, but the game is cute and I did end up clicking on that robot for quite a while. My finger is definitely not sore now 🥲

I'm usually not the one for dress up games, but this was really cute and I quite enjoyed my time with it. The design, art, and music are so charming and all of it fits so well together. Well done!

Short but it was quite fun to move around in the game 🙂

This game is so charming and I absolutely adore the art! It's stuff like this that really motivates me to wanna improve on my own art. Absolutely amazing entry you guys made I have nothing else to say just extremely well done 👏👏

I didn't think I would ever help a duck with its romantic crisis but here I am! Really sweet narrative experience you have made here. B.O.G is a very nice and likeable character and I hope that one day they get to continue their purpose  🫡

very cute little platformer and I really like the world and environment . Could benefit from some sound effects and music but other than that I don't have a lot of feedback. Generally the mechanics work very well and it is a short neat experience. It is an extremely solid first time jam game. I remember my first jam game being such a buggy mess that buried it away in shame. This one is an absolute joy for a first time jam game, honestly I'm a bit jealous. So yeah extremely well done!

This is a neat little game that I actually had quite a good time with, though I must admit it took me a bit to figure out what I was actually doing. For the 3 first levels I just did stuff and the screen went "You win!" and I went "oh neat yaay!" and continued on with my journey, but after that it clicked for me and I think it is actually quite well designed.  I did enjoy the mechanic of managing resources and dodging the slimes and I was very much determined to beat all the levels. Well done with the game!

I quite like this game it is a very polished and is scoped really nicely for a jam game! The graphics are awesome and even though the puzzles weren't too hard they were still challenging enough to make it feel rewarding to go for all the discs. I also really like the music. The only nitpicks I have are that the robot feels maybe a tiny bit too slippery and I wouldn't mind a bit more time in the air when jumping, but those are only minor nitpicks and didn't ruin my overall experience. I really enjoyed playing this!

I rarely review or comment on games, but this time I just had to show my support. This game had been in the back of my head for several months since seeing it in my recommendations, and I finally pulled myself together to play it. I must say, I expected maybe 30-45 minutes of entertainment, but instead, I got nearly 5 hours of entertainment — for free. That's absolutely bonkers, dudes!

It's easy to see the sheer passion you guys put into this game. I was hooked all the way through and absolutely fell in love with the characters and the story. The fact that you released it under a pay-what-you-want model really shows how much you love this project and want as many people to experience it. Just for that, I bought both the supporter pack and the soundtrack to support this project. I encourage everyone who can spare some change to do the same if they enjoyed it as much as I did.

I’m really excited to see what you guys come up with for Chapter 2. DON'T YOU DARE ABANDON THIS PROJECT!!!

Alright, that’s all. Have a great day :)

GG 💪

Ayo just dropping by again to say congratulations on winning the game jam BIG TIME!! You made an awesome game that I am glad to have experienced. Extremely well earned! 🏆

I still want that Gameboy port though 😉

This is very well balanced, a lot of people have a tendency to make their first game very hard or very easy on accident, but I felt this game struck a good balance of not being so hard I get frustrated, but also not so easy that I get bored, kudos for that! I felt the art could use a bit more work, but with the vibe you are going for I find this art style perfectly acceptable, but I would appreciate if the bullets were bigger and if there was a bit more juice to firing and being hit. I liked that it changed from space-shooter to top-down bullet-hell, that was fun!

Awesome dude! I will go play it now!

I am unfortunately not a huge fan of the ground/platforms and the characters. But the game seems to work really well using squares and simple shapes so I really think you should lean into that. I would recommend looking at other games that also use simple shapes to create appealing visuals.

Here are two games for this jam that I think does that really well:
Switch https://itch.io/jam/gdevelop-game-jam-4/rate/2216920
Switch Puzzle https://itch.io/jam/gdevelop-game-jam-4/rate/2209769

I also made a game using only squares and simple shapes if you want to take inspiration from that https://atomicpotatoemil.itch.io/shapely-shootout Though I think the before mentioned games did it better.

I can also recommend looking at a commercial game called Thomas Was Alone that made awesome visuals using only squares.

I hope some of this helps, I am very impressed by your first jam game, and I can easily see the quality of your games increase exponentially in a very short time frame. You already got a great handle on mechanics, now it is just about practicing to create appealing visuals :)

Really neat puzzle game! Very cleverly made and definitely one of my favorite puzzle games of the jam!
I must say I generally really like your art, but I have to address the color scheme, it is REALLY in your face green. I am an old school Gameboy collector so I am used to looking at monochrome green, but this might be a tad too saturated. May I recommend switching to a more subtle green that leans a little more towards blue so that isn't as assaulting on the eyes? I really like your game so I took my time to come up with a color scheme recommendation. I hope you find it useful, but also feel free to tell me to shut up

This is one of those games that works really great on mobile platforms. It's kinda like Flappy Bird but also not. This isn't a genre I make or play or lot of myself so it is a bit hard for me to give proper advice or feedback, and I don't want to repeat what everyone else has already pointed out in the comments. Maybe consider making the cannons move or change positions so it won't be so easy to hover between cannons, but otherwise I don't have a lot unique feedback, a lot of the other comments already pointed out a lot of great stuff to consider

You're welcome! I will be trying your game now!

Okay I have to say that this is probably the most solid platformer I have played throughout this jam so far, the movement is smooth and it feels great to control, generally the character controller is just so well done. I really like the parallax background it looks really crisp, though I can't say the same about the foreground that looked oddly cheap compared to the background. I wouldn't say it is the best interpretation of the theme, but the game feels really great to play. I would say the biggest strength in the game is how fun it is, but its biggest weakness lies in its theme interpretation. But congratulations you probably made the best feeling platformer I have played in this jam

Sure thing, I am gonna go try it out now!

I am pretty sure you already gave me a really nice comment a while ago, but this one is much nicer so I don't mind 😁!
Thank you so much, comments like these really lift my spirit!

I like birds and I have a blue parakeet at home so this game is automatically a 10/10 for me! Definitely one of the most unique games I have played this jam. The art is pretty good and I like the sound effects

This is one of those very simple but also very enriching games to play. Very easy to get into and it is satisfying to turn on the green lights. Could definitely see this game become very popular on mobile platforms

Solid timing based platformer you got there! It is hard, but it felt hard because it seemed designed to be and not because of lack of polish or frustrating mechanics. I think the game would benefit from tweening the camera upwards when the player gets higher instead of changing the camera position immediately, it wasn't always easy navigating on the transitions

I really hope you didn't find my feedback too harsh, my only grind was with the background, and I honestly didn't know if there weren't any sound or if my computer/browser didn't want to play the game properly (has happened a couple of times with other games at this jam).

Your game is actually really creative and really wanted it to be longer so I could play more of it.

I remember my first jam game being a buggy unoriginal mess that I still have nightmares of till this day 😅

This game is pretty difficult 😅
I really like the shine light to reveal secrets mechanic. The game is overall pretty fun but it needs some polish. Also I am not a huge fan of the music, sorry... but I will say this game looks better than what I have seen on average throughout this jam, but it could really benefit from a more interesting background

Pretty well executed! Though I will agree with some of the other comments that it would be nice if the camera was more zoomed out. I am a huge fan of the paper-craft graphics

Fun little game, I am kinda sad that there weren't more to it. Though short I found it pretty clever and it could definitely be expanded. Though I have to say I found the background a bit nauseating, maybe slow it down a tad or try more contrasting colors, the lines weren't very comfortable to look at in that speed, but it might just be a problem specifically to me. Also were there no sound or was there a problem in my end?

Say no more, I got you!

Really neat memory game, simple but very enjoyable!

Also I don't know why but for some odd reason in my second run I got an abnormal amount of poisonous eggs. Someone should really hire an egg inspector at this company ..oh wait, I was the egg inspector.. Well too bad they fired me 😜

Thank you kind sir!

Such a nice chill game. It is such a simple mechanic that works so well with the theme. I get flashbacks to this one specific puzzle in Spyro 2 that works with the same mechanics. Also huge fan of the background music!
