The music file size is 3 MB, which I thought wasn’t too big, but clearly, it could be optimized better.
Thank you very much for the advice !

Technically, it’s quite polished (using the mouse and WASD would be more convenient than the arrow keys). However, it lacks a bit of visual clarity. You should consider using less harsh colors with more contrast — personally, I had a hard time seeing the blue balloons against the blue background.

I would’ve liked to know how far along I was in the game, because I played for almost 10 minutes and never saw the boss that’s supposed to show up around the 6-minute mark. I died several times, but I couldn’t tell if I was restarting from the beginning or from where I left off, since the XP/balloon bar stayed the same.

Keep it up!

"No pain no grain", you made my day XD

I want even more mini games — I absolutely love this kind of humor!! Honestly, you deserve to be in the top 10 for all the work you’ve put into this. It’s super polished, and the story is excellent too — definitely not easy to come up with, even if GPT gave you a little help (yes, I watched all the way to the end of the credits ;) ).

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!

Maybe I should preload the music or compress it better, thanks for the suggestion !
There are small stone signs that point toward the temples, by the way.
Thanks for the feedback ! :)

Thank you so much! It always feels a bit surreal to see someone play your game — and even more so to see them showcase it publicly! I'm really glad you enjoyed it.

Thx ! Pixel art is my thing — I really enjoy making it, even if some of the assets aren’t mine, because it’s tough to create everything from scratch alone in just 9 days.

This kind of comment is so encouraging for what's to come — a thousand thanks!

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!

The pixel art is amazing. However, I’m having an issue with the controls — 0, right-click, and middle-click don’t work. Aside from the upward attack (a chain?), the others don’t seem to work for me.

A gun that shoots other guns with guns coming out of the gun — WTF LOL

Very funny though!

Oh please, add more levels!! I replayed the game hoping for a different random level — I’m frustrated lol. I love it: who would’ve thought of making a game with a capybara that has magical powers?! Brilliant!

Whoa, huge map! There’s a lot of potential!! But those little *** archers roast me every time lol.

You’ll do better next time. The beginning is interesting. Good luck with your exams, cross fingers!

I’m going to show this game to my son who wants to become a game developer — it’ll motivate him to get started with GD, because when I tell him he can do it, he doesn’t believe me! You’re a great example, and I really want to congratulate you! You must keep making games and joining more game jams to keep challenging yourself. You have so much talent and deserve all the praise — well done!!

I have another piece of advice for you: make the most of all the time you’re given. Maybe you could have added even more to your game with the 3 days you had left. It’s like during a test at school — never hand in your paper early without giving it your absolute best :) Time is precious.

Oh, that’s funny! Instinctively, I wanted to move using up and down.

As for me, the mouse shooting doesn’t work — only the space bar does.

I’m impressed that you managed to draw and animate everything in such a short time — well done!

When I got to the boss, I got stuck underneath it and couldn’t get out because it was moving in the same direction as me. My attacks didn’t do anything when I hit between its legs. I had to give up.

I’m not going to be very original, but I agree with the others: to enjoy your game even more, it would help to zoom out a bit, because it’s frustrating not being able to see where the shots are coming from. Other than that, I really like it — it’s refreshingly different!

Haha, during the first two minutes you're like, "Easy, I got this, not too many enemies, it's going well." And then suddenly it all goes crazy — they come from everywhere, and at 2:29 you die, you restart, and the same thing happens at 2:25. So yeah, it's the enemies that are overpowered, not me :p

I really like your game. The design is polished, the movements are flawless, and the idea of the screen on the right to upgrade skills is great! I just wish the bullet reload was faster, because there's quite a long delay between two shots, and enemies quickly swarm in and kill you before you can do anything.

Weird but kind of addictive ^^

Great art style and UI !

Looks like no one could resist, haha! Thx for trying

Hey, honestly, great job for a first game that you managed to finish in just 9 days! It's polished, I didn’t notice a single bug. The idea is simple but effective. Well done!

You deserve a lot of credit for being able to create your first game without any tutorials! I don't think I could've done better before learning how to use the software myself (and I’m definitely not claiming to be a pro, far from it!). But if you’re able to make something like this without any prior knowledge, then you have a lot of potential. Keep it up!

I'm not a native English speaker, so the narrative aspect of the game was a bit challenging for me — I find that too much text in another language can hurt the atmosphere a bit, because your brain has to work harder to follow along.

I also noticed at least one missing asset at the top of the first screen. The character moves a little slowly, It would feel better if the character walked a little faster.

In any case, great job and congratulations!

That means a lot to me, thank you! Of course, I'm going to try your game right away :)

Thank you !

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!

Hearing Wilhelm screams is never a good sign 😄
Glad you liked it, thank you!

Thanks for the comment and for playing!

I think so too 😄 Thanks for playing!

I loved this game! It's like a Core Keeper underwater. I love the gameplay, I love the retro monochrome Game Boy style — in short, you nailed it!

This game is totally the crazy one from eXistenZ, lol

Your game is interesting! How can we buy more bullets ? I can't enter the shop.
I noticed that the enemy sound is looping.

Why isn't this game already up for sale on itch?! For me, it's one of the most polished: it's beautiful, with no bugs that I could find. It's rewarding for the player, which makes it really enjoyable to play!

9 days is really short to make something this polished, but after the jam you should dive back into it to fix a few small issues (like the red square on left-click, or the 'options' button starting the game...). I honestly think you can turn this into something truly fantastic! Keep it up :)

You did a very good job! Maybe I would slightly reduce the shaking, as it can be a bit disturbing for people sensitive to motion sickness like me. But it's more of a detail than anything else. Your game is very polished, well done :)

On the final screen after killing all the enemies, a number appears. I don’t remember exactly what it is, but below it, the word 'text' is written. So I thought it was the score. Maybe that number is also displayed by mistake.

Had a really good time with this one — you nailed it! Great job!
