this is a great concept with a lot of potential, do you plan on doing any post jam work on it?

I am not planning anymore since I already began working on it I am currently making the save system everyone is asking for and much more is coming very soon after the jam! Thanks a lot for playing and for your great review I appreciate a lot !

Really neat game! Arranging the levels is really fun and it feels like you could solve a number of the levels in a couple of different ways, which is always a plus in my books. I would agree with the previous comment that it would be nice to have the level keep your components in place and let you remove/move them around as needed. Otherwise, really solid experience all around!

Agree with BloodAssasin, the game defenitely has a vibe! I liked how you introduced new mechanics in each level 1 by 1. And I also slowly fell in love with Bob. He just such a cute silly little guy :)

I've finished the whole thing, nice music btw (it has a vibe to it), there are multiple ways to finish a level (intentional or not) that makes the level design really good. If polished this can make a fully fledged game, there are some thing to clean up first though: camera is too slow - make is so when I hold shift for an example that the camera goes faster, don't delete all my placed objects when I fail, and lastly proper art for menus and the game itself - consider make everything the same resolution (place everything on a single canvas and make it's size compared to the player sprite) 16x16 or 32x32 resolution should do nicely (you can watch some videos from "Pixel Overload" on Youtube he makes pixel art related videos). 

P.S. If you're reloading a scene when you fail - save objects positions then place them again. They are a couples of ways you can do this - I recommend you to use static list that saves which object is placed where (like a struct with name of the object or object itself and Vector2 for position) so you go trough the list and add objects to the map while taking away the currency for placing them.

That must be the most complete feedback I got during the jam... Thanks a lot for taking your Time writing such useful comment ! As I said as an answer to other comments these kind of QOF features are the ones I will prioritize while updating the game ! I'll try your way to save the positions it seems simpler than what I already tried :)

I don't know if it was a problem on my part, but bob did not collide with the ground and I could place boosts and jump pads only directly below him. Interesting game concept though, too bad I couldn't properly play it :(

Very good game.

Impressive that you created the majority of art/music during the jam. I thought the general aesthetic of this game was very good.

I enjoyed the puzzles.

For improvements, I'd suggest upping the left/right scroll speed based on how zoomed out your camera is. I'd also suggest that you save the players placements when they fail so they can tweak it on the next try instead of having it be completely gone.  Finally, could also add a way to get back to the menu in the middle of a level ;)

Excellent submission. Had a lot of fun playing it. Would recommend others try it.

I knew this concept would be explored; you have some nice features here. Trial and error at first, but you get the hang of it quickly enough.  The music reminded me of the original Lemmings.  Glad I could play this!

(I didn't read the note on itch page at first, but resolved the clipping in the first level by placing a jump pad right underneath the robot, worked from there haha)

Hey thanks a lot for your review i appreciate the fact that you had fun ! I didn't know what were the lemmings (i dont think I was old enough to know ;) ) while making the musics but after checking on YouTube I can see some similarities !

Well done for passing the first level, it is Always funny to see you the players find some ways I did not think about to complete a level especially for a bugged one :)

Very cool puzzle game. In the future, as a QoL feature, imo it would be better that when the level resets, your layout stayed how it was before you lost.

Thanks for playing hestrateja ! Well that is a feature that was on m'y trello list... But I never worked with save systems before and I Lost 3 hours if the jam trying to figure ou how to implement a save system. But I unfortunately gave up because the time was running out :( However now that time is not limited anymore I'll try to do it post-jam dont worry !

Unfortunately wasn’t able to play the game, I think due to a UI bug in the levels? I assume there’s UI in them, but I none of it was visible to me. The main menu and level select, while visible also had some UI scaling issues.

Judging by the other comments that were able to play the game, this is probably an issue on my end. Probably something about screen size or something. But I wanted to mention it since if you plan on editing the game post-jam, it might be worth looking into.

If I were to take a guess at a possible fix, maybe you didn’t set the UI Canvas’s Scaler component to “Scale with Screen Size”?

Anyway, sorry for the lengthy comment. Just wanted to let you know about the bug. If it is fixed in the future, I will play the game! I can’t just leave Bob all alone…

Do not apologize ! This "lengthy" comment is really useful to me, any feedback is ! I have game dev experience but I just seriously got into Unity. There are some features that I don't really know yet. 

Yes I will maybe update the game a bit after the jam that is something I am thinking about. 

So I am gonna go check out my UI components,  stay tuned for updates I'll tell you if I fix the bug. If it really is due to the Canvas's scaler that should be just a checkbox to check and it should not take me too long...

I was wrong ;) This is not only a matter of check box it seems a bit more complicated... Your guess was right it is because of the canvas however when I set it to "Scale with screen size" the text becomes crispy. I saw on the internet that it was possible to do things differently with anchors. I'll try check that tomorrow morning it is currently 1 a.m here in France and I did not completely recover from the jam ;)

Also I figured out that my UI was made only for full HD resolution (1920x1080) I am wondering what screen you have... Whatever thanks for the review I appreciate !

It seems that my laptop’s display’s resolution is 1366x768, which after running the numbers seems to be slightly off from the aspect ratio of 1920x1080, I think. So that may have been the issue.

Also, somebody recommended in the comments of my game to next time make a web build to avoid display compatibility issues. I thought I’d tell you since it sounds like good advice for next jam or whatnot.

For anyone reading, skip the first level as it's completely unplayable. You're supposed to place items on the ground, not on the player robot.

Otherwise, the game was fun. This must have been a lot of work. Congrats!

Sidenote:  It wasn't clear how to deal with the enemy on Level 6, so I trapped him with two trampolines. Was that it?

That was a way of doing it ;) I didn't event think it was possible the main way to avoid the robot was by simply jumping above it :).

I saw the description but it wasn't quite clear to me how broken the first level was until I checked the other levels. Hence the warning from the previous comment.

I did try to jump over the enemy the first time but it seemed difficult to time right.

Good concept and realization, as said before could use a bit of explanation but not too complicated to understand.

I had a bug on the 1st level where Bob would fall through the floor.

Great job for just a 2nd game on your own. I wish I'd done as good when I first started :)
