I like the concept very much! The enemy interactions made it interesting and you won’t have much to breathe due to the short timer. That helps because you wanted to add to the chaos and be more mindful of the enemies you selected.

I wish there is a progression for the player itself, but on it’s own it’s very fun to play. Great job~!

absolute banger. great presentation and a very smart core idea.

there aren't any complicated controls or mechanics to teach the player (which is very useful in this case), so all the fun comes from learning about different enemies, what they do, how hard they are to beat and even how you can use them to your advantage. considering this + there are cards that also remove some existing enemies you get a pretty decent possibility space and the game actually encourages thinking on your feet :)

something that came to mind as an idea to expand is that you may eventually start giving player upgrades, but they would just be randomly assigned to you and instead of being straightforward and making you stronger they would alter your playstyle in some way. that would make the player have to adapt their enemy-picking strategy and introduce even more variety/complexity. i don't expect you to work on this post-jam but just thought it'd be fun to share

thank you for the experience!!

Thank you so much! Actually great idea on the randmly assigned player upgrades, It will fully complete the role reversal haha. If I am to make a post jam version this is something I will defenitely consider, thanks :)

Firstly fun main menu, props to you.

I love the enemy design it has personality to it.

You can combine enemies for more powerful attack and it seems logical to an average player, nice design there.

You have two points for the theme, you chose enemies and you're a tee trying not to get brewed instead fighting back.

Good game.

A fine game, made by a fine developer.

The variety of enemies is quite rich, while it may feel overwhelming at times, hence you have to choose your cards carefully to last the longest.

Tea time?

Thanks, 4 o'clock haha

Loved the game, especially the art. It was so derpy and cute, and then the music was insane! The music and art shouldn't work together but they do.

Developer

Thanks! Im glad you enjoyed it!

pretty cool! mad polished animations along with a ridiculously fun gameplay loop!

The music slams, mad props for making it during the jam. Any tips for strategy to survive longer. I like spawning in the hot coco + fire ltr?

Developer

Thank you so much!!!

In terms of tips for survival I am yet myself to figure out the best strat. Ofcourse the fire + chocolate is strong, but Ive personally also had great success with taking a bunch of glasses and splooges. As long as you can dodge them, their projectiles will also kill a good amount of enemies thus helping you!

Also another strat for longer surivival is focusing on taking cards that remove cups. At first it might not seem that impactful. But with time it adds up. Taking "Mugging" and "Pain"  cards will lead you to just have less enemies on screen. you might not be as efficient at killing them, but you will have much more breathing room.

Thank you again so much for your feedback! Ill make sure to checkout your game once I get home!
