I thought you had a really neat idea! The mechanics really made me think and I think there is so many cool ways you could add to this game if you wanted!

Developer

Hey! Thanks for your comment, to be honest we're thinking about it!

Very cohesive experience that can be easily expanded upon with new conditions. Great idea and execution on all fronts.

Practically only nitpick for me would be that rewinding can take a lot of time if you let the knight run for too long, a skip-rewind shortcut would be nice.

Incredible job on so many levels and one of the top contenders for sure! I completed a few levels and it was fun to see biiiiiig loops or "snake-like" motions that resulted in completing the level anyway (Especially on "checkmark" level). I don't even have anything to add. The art, music, sounds, idea, execution are all good, and it's bug-free, too. I'd give the full version a try 100% if you people decide to continue the development (plus I love programming games)

Really cool graphics, nice music, and a very very good concept! My small brain can't anticipate that many moves in advance so I didn't go too far, but it was enough to give you a good rating, the idea and the realization are both good!

Hey Gatlink!

Thank you for your kind comment! Yeah we realize the inputs are currently too many, but we're glad you enjoyed it still :)

This is the first game I've played in the jam, and it's set a high bar.

Really cool puzzle mechanic, and the music and graphics are just right. The little variances in the tileset and turnback time vision are really nice touches. Could easily see this turned into a game that would be picked up by puzzle enthusiasts.

Super well done!

Programming games are super cool.
When first playing I didn't  understand the concept and thought the game had a bug. But once the knight moved  themselves I was like "Oooooh!". It's a great puzzle game!

Also the name of the data folder is "data_knowledge is poison_x86_64"  lmao.

Hey Nico!

Thanks for your lovely comment! Yeah it definitely needs a clearer intro. So thank you for pushing through and glad you enjoyed it :)

One of the coolest puzzle games I've played in recent memory. Loved the music, loved the art, loved the concept. Fantastic job. Only thing I can say is sometimes I didn't know how I actually solved the level because I'm dumb. But I did beat it eventually.

Hi! Thanks a lot for your feedback that's really encouraging! Yes we think it'd be great to make the learning curve more progressive :)

Also GG for beating the levels :)

We just watched your stream of our game! It was amazing seeing you play for such a long time! Helps a lot by giving us ideas on to improve the game play. Thanks again for stopping by :)

loved it, hard to say what was my favorite part of the game as it was all so good but the music especially stood out to me :)

Love the concept, unique use of limitation, amazing art and music, and all the puzzles felt intuitive!

Well done!

Thank you so much for playing and for your review! We're glad you liked it!

Best game I’ve played yet! Although it took a second to grasp the concept, once I got it, I was hooked! That was a really fun experience. Genuinely is a game I would play in my own free time outside of the jam! And I think I figured a trick out (on the last level of course LOL). Only comment would be that it’s connection to the limitation seemed somewhat of a stretch, but tbh with a game this well made and such a great concept, it’s okay ;) Awesome job!

Developer

Hey, thanks a lot for your review, it means a lot! So glad you liked it! It encourages us to make more levels :)

Yeah you're not the first one to let us know the connection seems far-fetched, yet the funny part is that we really got the idea from thinking hard about the limitation 😄 If we're not the hero, what are we? The environment? A supporter? That's how it all started :)

Your game was great too, we're following your profile for future releases :) Thanks again.

Hi again blubbers122,

Unfortunately we are unable to reproduce the bug on our machines. Would you mind sharing your Linux distribution and version? Thanks a lot.

I'm on Ubuntu 22.04. It might just be a dotnet or mono setup issue on my machine

This is epic! I would recommend building this for web if possible as its really fun. Its addicting and I really enjoy playing it. Amazing soundtrack and art as well as a cool mechanic for movement!

Hey DoctorLeaf, thank you we really appreciate your feedback! Yes unfortunately we discovered a bit too late that web export was not yet available for our version of Godot (4 with C#) but we'll do it as soon as possible :)
