Nice little game that plays well and looks good. I find the mechanics interesting (very good concept), but frustrating as I can't really control the other zombies, and I don't know what rules they go by, which prevents me from taking an informed decision and transform the game in a game of chance.

Still, I don't think it needs much more to become really fun, and it's impressive that you made basically a complete game in just three days!

I really liked this game :D, I always liked the concept of Bots helping you (although they just bounce off walls), so watching them infect others was a mechanic I really liked, the soundtrack is really good and the virus name is definitely the best part of the game. Anyway, I really liked it, congratulations for the game :D

Wow, it's so great! It's incredible how it fits perfectly with the theme and limitation, also nice art and level design!

Everything about this game was great! The limitation was included naturally, the song and sound effects were nice, the pixel art was good. Only thing I can mention is the lack of a fullscreen option.

Very good game!

Very competently made, anything lacking polish is so minor, it cannot dent the enjoyment the game gives. Good scope selection for the jam, good job.

EDIT: Was the player being faster when moving diagonally intended?

Infectionator vibe with a bit more control . Quite challenging actually.  Check out my live review at https://www.twitch.tv/scalphamission

Hey man, watched you play through it! I definitely liked your ideas and may just have to add the directional arrows once you get down to the last few! Great stream!

Really good game! Enjoyed playing it and the multiple levels ! Impressive!

Very nice game. You have the core loop of something solid. I think you need some additional mechanic to give the player a bit more control over things as it can be a bit lucky whether your spawned zombies create more zombies or not. But if you could figure out a cool mechanic for this, you'd be on to a winner.

Really nice  levels you made there.
The funky music  combined with the "All humans have been poisoned" text after each level     is priceless.

I got an idea for a cool mechanic:
Maybe give the player a short speed boost if they manage to infect multiple (3+) people in  short succession .

Funny game:))!

Really high polished great game , would suggest adding a mini map or a compass so the player can know where are the last humans left , but the game is really fun

Really cool, well-designed little game! :)  Totally agree with the last person on the infect mechanic- it's a really fun little feature and it makes the game more playable than I think it would be if you were just infecting every single person manually.

This one has an awesome sense of humor, between the victory music and "bouncy brain venom". That zombies can continue to spread the infection on your behalf is an awesome feature—love seeing those chain reactions play out. Great work!

Most fun game I played so far :)

Nice Entry - Simple but Good :)

Nice soundtrack, also I really like the pixel art. One thing that sort got on my nerves whilst playing is how the tiles can just abruptly change with no seam in some area. I like the concept of the game and it has a good loop. One thing you could try is adding a different ai for the humans. I know game jams done give much time but some sort of run away mechanic would have been cool!

The tiles were a nightmare tbh! I’m still getting used to a lot of the Gamemaker tile tools, but they definitely weren’t super helpful. I’ve heard Godot has a very good tiling tool and am considering switching to it. Also the AI for the humans and zombies is definitely some I thought of!! I actually only started on this game when the competition was already halfway over, so I didn’t get as much in there as I wanted :( But you’re right, it would have been very cool to include those mechanics! Thanks for the thoughts :))

The game is very cool. But the graphics are the worst part.

Developer

I agree the graphics are not optimal, I def need an artist on my team next time!

Submitted(+1)

I also liked the zombies in general - of course its not ,,optimal,, - but its a gamejam afterall

Submitted(+1)

I disagree actually. I thought the graphics were very charming and fun

This was a fun little game! I liked the difficulty, and the fact that you actually need to learn the level layout to beat it.

Developer

Yeah! Even I was struggling to beat some of the levels, so I think the difficulty is good as well! Thanks for the thoughts :)

Hey! Really fun game, the difficulty is well-adjusted with some challenge starting at level 2. Hope you continue!

Developer

I appreciate it! I actually updated the time limit for each map and added a fourth level shortly after you played it, if you’re up for the challenge ;)))
