Great entry as always! The variety of attacks were awesome and they fit together perfectly. It's great to see a cuphead inspiration in action.
There's a massive amount of polish here. So many effects! I love the plethora of different attacks Curt has. I found it pretty hard, but I'm glad you included an "assist mode." I think it would feel more fair if the lasers were more widely spaced out, as some of the gaps you had to squeeze through to fit in the laser areas were pretty small, and when combined with the other attacks, like the bullet wall, and the dropper guy, it could sometimes be unavoidable to take damage. I still really liked it though.
Amazing amount of polish and development for only two weeks! The patterns, controls, sound design, animation. It was all really well done! Incredible work! (Thank you for the easy mode, I needed it.)
Great seeing your pixel art improved to such scale! the effects were blowing up the boss had such a great retro feel. took me awhile to notice the “easy mode” by changing the weapons and armaments. I had watched the trailer before this so I was prepared hehe.

Another top notch entry, Endmark. Everything looked good, felt good, sounded good. The level of polish you have on there is fantastic. I'm always impressed by how much you can do in just 2 weeks. (Plus your willingness to share and help others. Really appreciate all your advice, btw!)
The one suggestion I have would be on the UI. With where it was and how small it was, I didn't really glance down at it much. More got tunnel movement on my character and the boss. Likely just a personal thing, though. And no real thoughts on how to "fix" it (helpful, I know). So do with that what you will.

I think that's an excellent observation about the UI. In my initial plan, you start on foot and when you pick up your first energy cell that UI comes in and Bot tells you what it's for and then a little later Bot tells you he learned about the hyper roll technique and teaches you to do it, then you get that UI added. Then a little after you discover a TrooperBot to hijack into and Bot explains it has armor and can sustain some damage (and also be customized at the terminal) and that UI pops in. But all that got cut for the deadline!
I did notice on most streams it wasn't clear to players when they were taking damage. Thanks for playing.
I must say, I am impressed with the level of polish in your game. The menus, pop-ups, screen transitions, and all the other details come together really well, giving the game a great look and feel. I always find myself envious of your ability to make everything look so polished. I usually end up adding these elements last minute when I have some extra time. Can you share your secret?
By the way, the boss fight was great!
One small thing, I would suggest adding keyboard controls for the menu. It would improve the overall user experience.
Thank you for playing and for the compliments. You flatter me. You know how asset flips are like a dirty word, well a lot of my jam games are flips in a way. Since I’m always trying to learn something new with an entry when I find something I like I often end up reusing/tweaking it for another entry. I think there were only a few new SFX in this entry and the boss theme was new (mostly because of the time crunch and I was stressed and just threw something in). But the transition is the same as the one I made for last round and particle stuff is adjusted code to previous stuff.
I agree wholeheartedly about the menu working without the mouse, but I wasn’t sure how to code it on deadline. I think that’s a major weak-point I should work on. Menus scare me!!
That was a really, really well put together boss fight. Really hard though! Ended up abusing infinite shields to get to the end haha. This is kinda nitpicky but I'd almost telegraph the lasers a little later? Maybe that's just my instinct to dodge immediately when I see the line about to start
I think that’s a spot on recommendation. I could stand to balance the laser and bullet timing better. And I think the lasers are especially hard on the player because the vertical lasers get two telegraphs (the light turns red and then the red line appears) but the horizontal lasers just have the red line, but I wanted the two to be timed the same the the horizontal laser is extra long with the telegraph. I see how that can be odd now.
And the shield is there for when you need it! No such thing as abusing it.
A really great game and I like how you can set your own difficulty with what you choose to equip
awesome entry! love all the unique attacks but never managed to make it past the second faze lol. my only problem was it was a bit hard to tell how much health i had because there were a lot of icons and there was not that much feedback when you got hit, half the time I thought i was playing great and then would just die lol
also i got the rare bug lol , otherwise great submission!
Ha! It just took me two minutes to fix it. Can't believe I didn't catch that in play testing. Bummer, but that's a jam for you! Thank you so much for sharing the screenshot. That helped a ton.
Also, don't be afraid to turn on those laser piercing bullets and infinite shield to use as you need to beat the evil CuRT!!
Fun boss fight with a lot of dodging going on. High marks all around.
Real nice submission! I like the humour and name changing and concept! I wish you could dash through things to not take damage but then maybe that would make the game too easy. Wonderfully finished off with brilliant details all the way through
