How does your game tie into the theme?

nice concept, I had fun trying to get the most points possible for each star system!

Loved the concept and potential of the project! I had a lot of fun making my own systems. Here's a link to my playthrough... https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1716824445?t=00h26m54s

I really appreciate the feedback and enjoyed watching the playthrough!

I was laughing to myself with the Esc key. I have no idea why I picked that key but quickly realized it was a problem as soon as I tested it in HTML. Originally I planned on Windows export but couldn't get the other OS exports working in time so had to settle as it was getting close to submission time.

Thanks for talking through your playthrough. It was nice to see how people approached the game and what mechanics I thought were obvious were actually not that obvious.

Some things I learned that I need to make clearer:

1. The "Next Star" button is supposed to be a move on and start on a new star button. The general gameplay loop is just playing on one star as long as possible.

2. The Esc key. Still cracking up about this one

One thing you mentioned was how the "sweet spot" wasn't changing. That was actually something I really wanted to do but struggled to come up with how to get it to work. One idea was to have the volcanic planets act as a way to warm up the area and make the sweet spot larger.

Again thank you so much for playing and I hope you enjoyed it. I sure enjoyed watching the playthrough.

That's an amazing idea! Really leaning into how the planets can interact with each other. Maybe play with different types of suns. Ooooo, you can have the player have to strategically place moons and large planets to help the habitable planets grow life (like our moon, and Jupiter)... But I would love to play this again if you keep working on it. Really loved the concept and glad the feedback/stream was so helpful!

Really chill and calming game. I like and appreciate its simplicity

Great presentation, with a good relaxing feel to it. The teaching of the game could be executed better than just lots of text, but the game concept itself is good. Nice work!

This game has the rare distinction of being one I'm happy to just sit and watch without touching anything. The minimalist art and ambient music are great fits for the concept, and it's just a really nice, serene time. I'm struggling a bit to define what I like so much about it in words, but ultimately it just feels good. I want to compare it to a Rothko painting, but don't want to sound like that big of a tool, lol. Nice job!

Very cool concept. Very relaxing, but intriguing at the same time. A few sound effects, some different "scenarios" to have to build for, etc, and you could have something really great to play with!

Great relaxing game! The music was fantastic, and the main concept was very well executed.

This is really cool, just a really creative and unique idea for a game. With more time and polish I could see this becoming an awesome, zen puzzle game. Great job! The music is great too.

Tiger looooovz space games! And yours is a great take on that  genre. There are many good parts in it, like showing the scores upfront, having this nice picture of a solar system in motion etc. etc. Great job!

Some minor things: It is not running in Firefox (switched to Chrome, no biggy). The ESC key for starting the game is rather unusual, and conflicts with the full screen mode (ESC also ends fullscreen). Enter or Space might be the better choice.

Other than that - really enjoyed it.

( As a true space fan, I also developed a space game in the past, maybe you want to check? https://humane-tiger.itch.io/astros )

The music and simple gameplay help build up a very relaxing atmosphere (really creative pun).

Congrats on submitting :)!

By far the most relaxing game I have played in this jam, also the music just adds perfectly with the tone of the game.

Very relaxing game, a nice idea and it feels good to play. Maybe I am missing something but a reset button would be nice because I got stuck on a later level when I didn’t reach 20 points and didn’t find a way to try again or reset. A fun game overall! :)

No you are correct. It is possible to get stuck in some cases. I was rushing towards the end trying to improve the scoring and make it better but ran out of time

I liked the concept, but currently its a little bit to easy in my opinion. I could just get away with not a lot of thinking about where to place it. But I had fun with it anyways.

Thanks for the feedback and I would agree. The scoring and points system was hastily made and I did not get a lot of time to balance. I also originally planned for more than planets and moons but had to cut them. The grand idea was to include all types of things from asteroids to possibly space stations that wanted to be near certain planets.
