How does you game fit the theme?
Your partner and your dog disappears in the cold desolate Antarctis, now you need to find them all alone! or are you alone?...

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All the assets are done by me in Blender.
Some of the code i reused from another project, and some of it i stole from tutorials.

I was really hoping to see a game like this on the jam, it looks so good and the story and ambience are so cool. And you even added voice acting. Sheesh! Really good, congrats!

Very well done, I like the ps1 style graphics. The story, the atmosphere, the sounds. Good job!

Awesome game, one of my favorite submissions :)

I love the graphic style. Everything fits together,  especially the music adds an incredibly good tension.

Following the blood trail was just epic. The persistent feeling of discomfort and the increasing thrill...
just stunning :)

Audio was very well managed. I did not expect myself to jump at the reveal. Also, I was very happy to get to the ending. Well done and great job!

This game had a lot of suspense, and I personally really like this style of graphics, it adds to the creep factor. This game also ran very smoothly for a webgl! Nice work.

While I think you had good intentions with that really long stretch of walking, I personally feel like it was overdone a bit and lost its suspense after a bit. Following the blood trail went on too long and began to feel more like a chore. The flare was a nice break from that. But I think if you had added more, perhaps the sound of snow crunching/footsteps behind you halfway through, or perhaps had some trees with shifty shadows, the player could have stayed a lot more engaged and worried for longer while walking. Though I understand the limits a game jam poses, so those could perhaps be things to think of after the voting.

The aim of the gun was also not exact, my flares kept shooting down and to the right, but I was able to get the hang of it and didnt hinder the gameplay too much. It would've been nice to have some sort of indication that I was actually hitting the enemy, as I was unsure if I'd even hit most of my shots because that too went on a while. But I felt genuine fear and suspense while inside the facility and was met with surprise and disgust (in a good way!) when seeing those gruesome "surprises" you had added.

This game had a really great ambiance to it. Well done creator/s, I would love to see a more fully fledged out version of this game at some point in the future! It was a very intriguing and captivating idea.

Edit: I apologize for it posting my review 3x :') My internet is not the greatest.

Awesome game! Love the atmosphere. Reminded me a lot of Carpenter's "The Thing".
Pixelize effect adds a lot, I like using it too :)

I had an issue where the camera seemed to sometimes quickly snap to some position.

Developer

Thanks alot! Hmm maybe try click inside the game, that should fix it i think

I don't usualy play horror games, but this was the most popular submission (playable on browser) so I thought I could give it a try.

It actually managed to make me tense about everything. I keep thinking there will be a monster that will come out of nowhere, and the gun you have didn't helped either.

The monster didn't really jumpscared me at the lab because I kinda expected it. It wasn't that hard to beat, it just took really low because of how long your fireball gun reloads.

Very good game overall.

Thank you for the feedback! hope you liked it

I understand why this game tops the "popular" submissions but this is not for me. Technical a very good game and if you did all the assets in Blender in a week, this is pretty impressive.

Gameplay wise (for me) it was to "slow". Following the blood trail until the probably serves the horror aspect but I found it boring.

Thank you for the feedback ! :)

Like the retro vibe and Audio, for game design I would say there was no feedback when using the flare gun which made it kinda confusing what are you supposed to do, Short game but Overall nice game.

Developer

Ah yes gotta look into that! Thank you for the feedback! glad you like it

The best thing on this game is the audio for sure. I don't quite like scary games, and even though this is one of them, I liked it. Graphics, yet simple, are well done and compact. Good job overall!

Developer

Thank you so much! glad you liked and hope you didnt get too scared

Interesting game concept, the pixel graphics are quite cool and nice that it applies to everything.
While short it was still cool, a little confusing at the end but overall a nice small experience :)

If you have some time perhaps check out our game as well, I would appreciate it

Amazing style in game. Very cool how you were able to convey the atmosphere through such a small number of colors and forms
