The art is beautiful and its a nice take on the theme, though I didn't find the game as challenging as I had hoped and found myself just popping die in there without having to think too much about it. But still, well done!
I didn't expect to like this one as much as I did, but it was really enjoyable.
Really appreciate the resonance between the feeling the gameplay evokes and the narrative premise of this. The more you play, the more that hopelessness becomes apparent.
Beautiful art style and atmosphere that further sells what you're trying to go for here. It's warm, welcoming and somewhat in stark contrast with the actual hopelessness the game pushes for. Serves as a backdrop for why keeping the engine running is worth it despite the ever increasing struggle. So really good job on that.
Though the gameplay nails the feel down, it doesn't keep me as engaged as I'd like it to. It was the thing that ultimately made me stop even though I kept the engine going. Not sure what can be done but simply increasing the dice management doesn't feel like the escalation the game quite needs for extended play sessions.
What a nice game! It took me a while to understand the mechanics at first, but then I got the hang of it and it was just amazing. The music suits the type of game and makes the experience very pleasant. I was flooded with nostalgic feelings, caused by the combination of the warm colors, the music and the smooth transitions between the stages and their messages.
This game is without a doubt a work of art! Congratulations!
What a work of art! Amazing! I'm really impressed. I'd really love to see this get expanded upon further. Adding more mechanics, more train cars with different effects, able to put dice into different slots for more effects. More storyline too. More of this great music. Just more!! Give me more!! :D
I like how bleak it is but it was super pretty!
Beautiful, very climatic, satisfying mechanics and some environmental commentary. Love it
Simple and fun for a while. Would love to see it outside a jam. Its just so so pretty to look at :)
What a beautiful game ! Music, design and gameplay fit perfectly, you've done a good work on it congrats !! (a unfortunatly it's not so far from reality because of this hot summer...)
Wow, this game first off looks absolutely amazing. The entire concept of being on the train and that being the only way to survive is one I totally love! The gameplay was stressful, yet the music was so somber and relaxed, it was a nice oxymoron. I definitely found my fingers cramping from swiping back and forth on my trackpad so rapidly lol.
Some minor improvements: Maybe adding a snap to feature where the dice when near a placement location would snap into place could make the overall moving them a bit easier to handle. Also a decrease box would have been so helpful, but I guess the challenge is part of the fun LOL
Anyway, great game and beautiful graphics. Definitely think this is a top tier game in this game jam!
Wow, stunning presentation and very intuitive yet fun mechanics. Definitely a creative use of dice besides the classic roll-for-random-number. My only complaint is that late in the game, the dice start to run out and the increase-swap-split slots tend to get filled up, which make it almost impossible to progress (although it could just be because of bad dice management). Other than that, well done!
In a melancholic way, this was really quite beautiful, aside from the art looking gorgeous. I only wish there were some more train sounds to give me better feedback for how well it's going, how close to slowing to 0 is it etc.
Really great presentation and unique gameplay idea, the difficulty ramps up nicely. The only thing i could think of that could possibly be changed/added would be to add alternate controls, I found it rather hard to keep up once the game got difficult, however i dont know if this is a case of "get gud" xD
A unique idea and awesome presentation! This game got an amazingly smooth learning curve. The only problem I had was telling how fast the train was going. When I noticed it slowed down it was already kind of too late - but maybe I'm just bad :D
I like the graphics and this is probably the first time in the jam that ive seen someone do this for the theme. You see a lot of rougue likes and puzzle games where you roll the dice in this jam so seeing something like this was nice as it gave me a nice calming break from all the other games that played similar
A very interesting concept with a beautiful landscape
Great game! Very interesting concept:)
Damn this is so unique and well presented. It was also surprisingly fun with such a simple mechanic and before I knew it I was super engaged. Well done!
Incredible presentation and jam game entry, overall!
