Love the art style and presentation of this game!

Absolutely loved the game! Simple but fun, and the whole thing is polished - with a presentation that has a lot of heart.

Also, +1 respect for putting in SFX / Music volume sliders!

This is the only game so far I would like to play again and again! everything is great here!

Wow, that's really good game! Especially graphics

10/10, thanks!

Great game! Reminds me of pokemon mystery dungeon so it has its own little appeal. Its a simple game but you made it work. Great job!

Best Rpg style found so far! Its easy to get overwhelmed by a strong foe, if it gets you in a corner there’s no way to get out

Amazing graphics. Liked the concept. Please check out my game.

Fun little dungeon crawler! Great aesthetics, feels very polished!

That was really addictive. I liked the music but it got repetitive fast. I liked the feel of riskign to enter a room when there's a die lying there in spite of the challenge. Really well made.

I love this game. It is incredibly well made, has excellent adhesion to the theme, it's a creative idea and there really isn't much to critique. My only gripe is that there isn't a download available so I can play it whenever ;) Overall great job!

Developer

Haha, a download would actually be a pretty good idea - if only I wasn't locked out of adding one until the jam was over! I'll try remember to add one. I'm very glad that you enjoyed the game so much, though, and thank you for the feedback!

I liked this!  It took be a bit to understand the strategy, but once I did I loved racking up loads of damage.

A brilliant game. You really distilled the RPG format into a enjoyable, mini package, and the art was great. Very addictive, too!

Simple, cute, and fun! Everything feels professional and well-polished. It's really satisfying to watch your damage number keep going up and up!

The polish on this is quite insane ! Also, I always like the genre, so it's a big yes for me :D

Developer

I'm glad to hear you like the genre too! I've always loved those sorts of dungeon-crawling top down ASCII games like CDDA, so it was great fun to make one for the jam. And I'm happy to hear that you liked the polish on it too!

Amazing game with good art and design. Enjoyed

I think to say how much I like this game, it's enough to mention that I ended up playing this for over 30 minutes. At one point the damage is so high that is just stops at the int value limit (2147483647). And the damage display reading "Lots of Damage" made me chuckle.

Did you sleep during the GameJam? Because this does not feel like a 48h game. At all.

Developer(+2)

Haha, it was certainly an intense development period - I had probably the deepest sleep I've had in a while after the jam finished. I'm just glad I stayed awake long enough to finish the game! And it's awesome to hear that people are playing long enough to reach the max int values, I love seeing that you enjoyed the game that much, and it's nice to know that the time spent adding in the "Lots of Damage" meter and the max int limits was worth it! I'm sorry that I never managed to add longs and the ability to go to even more hilariously high damage numbers. It's great to hear you had so much fun, though, and thank you very much for the comment!

Honestly, the game as it is right now is superb for 48h. I really hope you continue development even post jam, adding bosses and variety to the game. I would love to play a complete version of this.

I really liked the visuals in this game! I wonder if there is a place for one more gameplay mechanic to allow the player to develop a strategy. From my experience with the game, player becomes too powerful too quickly and becomes basically invincible. Maybe I was just lucky with the drops though!

Developer(+1)

I definitely agree, it would be great to have a bit more strategy and a bit less randomness in the game! Initially, I had plans to add a few more features in the game to reduce randomness, but as in every other game I've made I overscoped and missed out on adding some simpler mechanics in the meantime. Some new strategies would've been great to add, then! It's good to know that you liked the visuals, though, and thank you for the feedback!
