Really nice game! I liked the concept of random builds this makes every run more interesting and made me wanted to try again to see if other set of skills I'll be better hahahah And I really liked the difficulty level setting it was really clever :D
I was deeply confused at first when there was just a small child on the screen. I have learned my lesson!
Overall great game, bgm was good, sfx was great, the sound for your bullet fire is at the perfect level! Difficulty as a little high for my liking but still enjoyable to play. (i'm just bad at bullet hell games) You did solid work on this. good job.
I like that the timing of the three-round burst sound effect seemed to be in sync with the beat of the music
Wow, really great game! A fun concept and the plethora of abilities kept things interesting.
The gameplay was super challenging (I never managed to get through the 3rd boss phase), but was quite a fun bullet hell. I think telegraphing the bullet positions a bit more might (maybe just by making the arena a bit bigger), could have made it easier to figure out what was going to happen next. I was mostly relying on memorization on my later runs. Then again, my reflexes suck, so I totally respect keeping the difficulty curve.
I absolutely love interactive soundtracks, so the fact that the music was tied to the attacks really made it for me. I also liked the chiptune rendition of The Bidding by Tally Hall for the menu music :)
The room is just too small to avoid hit randomly spawned obstacles - Unfortunately did not survive 1 minute longer in any match. I would change the shield pointing in mouse pointing direction, or being activated with RMB holding. Dashing is too dangerous to use at any point of game since objects can appear or change positions very fast. Bullets could move slower, and at the same time player should not touching anything, even own bullets. Also thought the melee weapon is useless but maybe it could be throwed and picked up after each throw from the ground (and bouncing off from the enemies when hit).
There are things to try like weapons and characters, and also creatures and other traps and hazards to find out, so game has variety and something interesting coming up from after each corner. Also cursor changing and other setting options are nice additional features. Also graphics, especially characters looking simple but pretty good.
really great game! definitely very hard. Experimenting with the different combinations is fun and the way the patterns sync to the music is very satisfyin
Excellent gameplay
COOLEST MUSIC AND THE FACT THAT IT IS SYNC WITH THE BOSS STAGES FEEL SO GUUUD
Excellent art
Classical die and retry boss game, which work very well on this theme
The different class genre is very original
graphics respect the theme
i'll give it a 18/20
Love the game! It's the best one I tried so far, even if I couldn't beat it after a lot of retries. I like that you get different characters at the beginning, that's what made me keep trying to beat the game.
Cool game and would be cool too if you would try my entry too!
Edit: I forgot you already tried it. I should take some memory pills or have a better sleep schedule.
Nice bullet-hell style game! I really liked how the music synced with the attacks! But as stated by Acimus, a tutorial would be quite helpful because i didn't really know what i was doing until a few runs in.
I really liked:
- Music. Phenomenal and fun throughout.
- Artstyle. It's very witty and pretty easy to read, even when there's a lot going on on the screen.
- The game overall feels very finished and well-polished.
Suggestions:
- As stated before, adding a tutorial or a simple 'How to play' would help a lot. I've lost a few runs before figuring out there are more things than just moving and left-click.
Overall, a very fun experience. Well done!
I like this one! The art is smooth and the gameplay is even smoother. Going in though I did notice some early inconsistencies:
There's no tutorial, the player is just thrown in with descriptions of what their player of choice can do. When I started I had zero clue what I was playing was a music game, and I still don't entirely know the end goal.
Adding on to the consequences of no tutorial, I had no idea what the special ability was supposed to do for me, as delaying attacks seemed to just staple down my impending doom even more.
Overall though, the music & art was very nice, and I enjoyed playing. Well done !
