Good application of the theme, but I would have liked to be able to upgrade every time I died (that would help make each new run interesting). Kudos for submitting 12 seconds before the deadline -- that's a bold move ;)
Couldn't get past the skeleton no matter what I did, unfortunately! The lack of sound and those spikes where you get the speed upgrade made this not replayable for me, unfortunately. The artstyle is cute and the idea is executed well, in theory, but I couldn't do much in the game.
Good job getting something submitted though! Most people didn't and you should be proud regardless. Hope you play ours!
Amazing take on the theme. The core idea is well executed.
I would love to hear some music.
how do you fight the zombie? The sword just gets me killed ≡(▔﹏▔)≡
Simple idea. Executed well.
The art was very simplistic which suited the gameplay, I also really liked the UI for some reason.
The lack of music really took away from the game however, just made it feel very empty.
One suggestion would be to improve the hitboxes, which felt very buggy. For example, if the player has their sword out and the sword touches a zombie, the player dies. This was very confusing and held me back in the game.
Well done on the game! Good job :)
If you have the time I would also appreciate if you played my game aswell. :D
Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to fix all the bugs and update the game, specially the hitbox one, as you could imagine it's not supposed to work like that.
Also, yeah, I'll try your game :)
I like the simplistic art style and the core idea is actually a pretty cool idea.
I did have good fun with my playthrough.
Upgrading stats by dying is a cool mechanic for this jam
