So a polished game and interesting mechanics. I really want to see the continue with extra stuff to make it much more interesting

Developer(+1)

Thanks, glad you enjoyed playing! We already started working on a more polished version for after the jam

This is a really polished and beautiful looking game. I think it was really chill and relaxing. Got me scared thinking I'll have to rush for the customers in an overcooked like style :D

The only suggestion I can think of is a little more emphasis on evolution part of the garden, a small tutorial maybe? (I managed to accidentally remove my first plant and get stuck with no seeds)

Developer

Thank you, glad you enjoyed playing! Haha we were going for the more relaxing gameplay
Yeah, that is good feedback. We didn't convey how the breeding/pollination works to the player well enough, but we'll improve that after the jam.

Very chill game with a great farm-to-straw aesthetic! Would have loved a goal to work towards (though maybe i missed it?) but c'est a game jams! Plenty of potential here to get complex phenotypes from those crosses! Well done :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and for the kind words! Yeah, we wanted to add a cafe reputation that increases based on the drinks you serve and more interesting phenotypes, but you know how game jams go :)

Gregor Mendel would be proud haha :)

No but really, I enjoyed this game a lot. Very relaxing, I tried to get all of the different colors.

Developer

Haha thank you for playing and glad you got the reference! :)

Nice and chill experience ^^

This has quite some polish for a jam game, the illustrations are really good and the UI is very clean and intuitive.

The only tiny issue i had, was that i found it a bit confusing to guess the customer's tastes, i got that the smooth fruit are sweet and the spiky ones are bitter, but the customers only say the color they want and i didn't get how i could guess if they wanted a sweet of bitter drink cause sometimes similar looking customers didn't want the same thing :/

But other than this confusion it's really solid, and i like that you made it very simple to serve the drinks by just selecting the fuit instead of having time pressure or a drink making minigame.

Well done :)

I'm glad you liked it and I appreciate the feedback! That's something we wanted to improve, but ran out of time. We could've planned that better and simplified the gameplay. The fruit's taste is a hidden trait only revealed by the customers' reactions and the taste is determined by the parent plants' genes, but this is not conveyed well to the player.

We'll work on improvements after the jam! Thank you for playing!

This was relaxing. I don't know if I missed something, but I couldn't tell what was bitter or sweet. Overall, I liked the idea and the take on theme. Nice job!

Developer

Hey, glad you like our game! We definitely could've done better to convey the bitter vs sweet fruit to the player. Right now, the customers' reactions are only slightly different based on the drink taste. Thanks for the feedback!

Love the theme, the artwork, and basically, any game that asks you to check out grandma's notes has to be good!  Enjoyed it a lot.

Thank you for playing! :)

Very relaxing game, beautiful art and music!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! That's the vibe we were going for!

Submitted(+1)

Everything is so cozy from the art, the music to the gameplay itself. i would prefer that the same kind of fruits to be bulked in one inventory slot, but other than that is super entertaining

Developer

Thank you for playing and I appreciate the feedback! It may not be clear from the gameplay, but each fruit has an unknown bitter or sweet taste, so you want to only serve drinks made from sweet fruit. That's something we could done better to convey to the player, but ran out of time.

Think I soft locked myself in the first game, when I hoed my only plant and didn't get a seed, but after a quick restart I was quickly pushing smoothies over the desk. Probably the most beautiful game of the jam. Loved to play it <3

Developer

I'm glad you found a way around it and glad you enjoyed playing!

Great game. I never normally play this genre but Ienjoyed this one!

Developer

Thanks, I'm glad you had fun playing!

This game feels so cozy! I love the vibe. I think the growing concept might've been a bit overcomplicated with alleles and recessive/dominant genes, that could've been made a bit simpler or at least more intuitive for the player to understand. Great concept!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Good feedback and I agree for sure about the genetics concept being unclear.
