Nice game, I was really interested to see on where this was going but I couldn't advance further because I got stuck on the tasks about paying insurance and public transport pass i think, I didn't know how to do those. As some have mentioned, I think a pointer in the middle of the screen would  help a lot when aiming and wanting to interact with things. Great job either way, congrats!

Interesting game, got stuck on day 2 as I couldn't get out of the apartment and nothing I clicked on the phone worked. The dialogues paint the protagonist's way of life very clearly. Well done.

Some improvement suggestions:

- Pointer in the middle of the screen to help aim when trying to interact with objects.

- Dude patrolling the hallway was floating above ground. XD

- I had no music on the game. Probably because of the game mood and setting, but still some background or ambient noises would be appreciated.

- Dialogue with Jenny triggered multiple times as I walked past her.

- The game didn't explain anywhere that I had to press ESC to check the phone. Maybe add a text instruction ingame somewhere. It could be placed on the door of the apartment and just say "Press ESC to check our phone".

- I got a lot of money from the Prince of Ecuador! Awesome! XD

Good game.

AMAZING! This is most interesting game that i've played in a long time.

Theme of this game is perfect, loved the style, reminded me of episode of Black Mirror (don't remember which), which i fond of. Meanings that were put in this game is just sad, really depressed me out, but i enjoyed it a lot.

Mechanic with phone is awesome, loved the to-do list, and implementation was quite good for time period which was given. Yea, game is a bit sharp, doesn't feel very complete, but it was intriguing, and part with bucket list is great, maybe it could be more obvious that, "yes, you're REALLY dead", because it felt like i just couldn't get to work one time and decided that now i'll do my bucket list, just to kill time and escape from boredom.

It's really felt like expreriencing freedom, especially when i went to park. Yea, it looked not great, felt like a forest more, but leaving that grey tight boxes and going to open world was heartwarming.

Also, found out that you can fly if you spam space (at least in park), and please, upload game not in debug mode, because it eats a lot of FPS, and game was lagging a lot, when i think it will go a lot smoother without debug.

I didn't complete all bucket list points that were in the game, but i really want to see this project evolve into real fully completed game, and would love to play it again!

Superb job!

Thanks for the amazing reply! It's really heartwarming <3

We based this game on a larger universe (of a Mars colony) that we want to build, so more will come in the future. Also we feel like more improvements could be done to this specific game, like controller input, some indication of the center of the screen, saves and graphics setting page are all in the plans :)

About the game jam release, we just uploaded the release version, hopefully this gets you a bit more frames :)

I've enjoyed it so far, but for a moment got lost when reaching the office, basically gone out the red door to the entrance, and the greeting event repeated. Probably the event is not being disabled after happening(?).

Also, i might have missed a hint or something, but didn't know that the "phone" was by pressing ESC, given that there was so many interactable objects, I've been searching for it around the office.

The other thing I'd like to suggest like Alpaca Rider mentioned, would be the addition of a crosshair kind of pointer, to help with aiming.

i was quite hooked to see were this is going, but unfortunately, the elevator at work didn't let me leave. or was this the point of the game?! noooooo....?!?
anyway, I feel both of our games attributed monotonous everyday life with already being dead - you made your point a bit clearer though ;-)

Oh, man, this game feels all too real :D. Very good job with Godot!

Some thoughts:

  • The right hand elevator didn't seem to be working, I had to enter the left one to get the menu of where to go.
  • It would help to have a simple dot in the middle of the screen, as an indication of where you are aiming at the moment.

Wow, a lot of truth in this game. I got to Day 2 and was off to the park when the game crashed on me. I see the irony in it not letting me go to the park. Very strong mood piece, I think I might go get drunk now :)

Cool Game. I was hooked till I got a stick on 2nd Day. Some Hints would be nice when stuck :P. Very good, very accurate game. Looking forward to a full release. Also glad to see someone working his charm in Godot.
