I would have liked something after you turned into CEO but still a fun game.

Submitted

nice art and idea but the controls are a bit off, not unplayable though nice work

Submitted

I like the story idea. Camera is very jerky, so hard to aim.

Submitted

Nice idea, controls are not intuitive though. I think it would be better to make movement dependent on the screen not on player orientation.

Submitted

I like that game, but the camera control is really really hard for me.

about the camera and movement

top down games usually have the aswd keys ignore the camera direction and move on tis own, and have the mouse cursor be onscreen and the player shoot in its direction (i think). in your game it is very different and i have to say that at first it was so disorienting that i considered closing it off. ive seen in it's itch page someone praised the controls because it makes it feel "unique", ill have to disagree to an extent - it is definitely too clanky to leave as is but is see his point. anyway i wont dwell on this because you pointed out that this is an early alpha.
i also dont understand how it fits the theme but this may just be me. would you care to exlpain?

overall this is actually quite fun, after a few attempts i managed to take down all of the NPCs.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. When playing a bit I’ve also noticed that the controls can get quite irritating. I think I would need to create the game around those controls to support this uniqness if I want to leave it that way. If I can’t succeed with this it’s probably best to align the controls to the screen.

The tag line “Kill your higher ups to get up the corporation ladder” came from the initial idea session on YouTube and I liked the idea. The match for the topic would be that the death of your higher up is the beginning for your next step in the career (until you finally become the CEO which can be seen as the beginning of a new/different life).

Love the fact that you linked corporate hierarchy to 'Death is only the beginning' 😂👌

Enjoyed playing. Would definitely want you to expand on it and polish it further.

Promotions! Controls took some getting used to but I managed to get to VP but couldn't seem to find the next promotion. Good work.

Nice start on this one.

Hi, your GitHub returns a 404. Please set your repo to be public.

Developer

Thanks for the hint. I’ve taken care of this.

Jam Host

Yup, it looks good now :)

Really hard to solo a game-jam.  Nice submission.  I do like the art style quite a bit.

good story

That was fun! Really difficult with the way movement, aiming and the camera interact at this point, but once I got a hang of it I managed to clear the level (I think?). You're essentially your worst enemy if you try to aim and move at the same time lol. But I found that level of challenge nice for something this early in development and a few minutes of fun!

Nice look. I couldn't hear any sound, I don't know why. The only thing I would have liked was a gentler follow-camera.

Developer

Thanks. There is currently no sound implemented.

As you wrote, there is still some work to do. I liked your style, but sadly I hardly get the first enemy killed, because of very sensitiv and a bit unintuitive movement. But it is definitly sth to work on, keep going!

Rate4rate appreciated :)
