How does you game fit the theme?
Charon has carried souls across the river for all eternity, but he's asked to do something new. The fear of lighting up the river and attracting ghosts is not real, unjustified, as the goddess Eleutheria is commanding the whole operation.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code in the project. We made the 3d models and most shaders from scratch, but the rest of the assets are public domain, the most significant of them appropriately credited

First Impressions:

-BGM and creepiness it gives is beauty.

-Main Menu is minimalist and well designed. I love the font you used.

-I'd love to have you lead me on for the first few mins of the game to make me understand the game better. I am not good at these type of games though.

Overall, the game is gorgeous and the idea is indeed interesting. Also, I'd like to know how you placed the water. I've never tried it maybe you know some kind of a tutorial.

If you have time, I'd like to hear you thoughts on my submission too!

Played your game and I liked it!

I used a unity package from BitGem that letes you make water boxes like those. I had to make my own materials but I think it came out alright.

The game is nice and I like the sounds and music. Calming atmosphere :)

That was an interesting combination of RNG and strategic thinking. The game is well made and the ambience is there. I also love that you added a tutorial for it, a nice addition that lots of games dont have

I love the concept and visuals! I think the gameplay is much too slow as it it though. It feels bad to go throughout a whole level without a torch or fruit, so maybe make it so where there is at least one of those each level. Maybe also make it so where you can roll 2 dice and you can pick which number to use

If the creator hadn't commented on my post in the community tab I would've never found this amazing game! Keep up the good work!

Great concept! Loved the game!

I love the idea! I had a great time playing it! Unfortunately, once I got to the seventh level I just couldn't roll the dice or move... Dunno if I broke the game or something :') But really, great game! ^^

Nice game, however I think the tutorial could be improved I had a hard time understanding the mechanics

It looks like a really nice concept,

but unfortunately, I couldn't really understand what I was doing,

The how to play section is a wall of text which isn't really nice,

I'd like to have a tutorial level or two that give you a rundown of what you should do and actually have you do it by hand.

But other than that the concept is really interesting

That was a very cool idea! Something completely different from all the other games i've played so far! But I think I got super unlucky or I didn't understand how it works, but I couldn't get a single torch to be lit up. I'm assuming that I was the one that messed it up lol

Awesome job!!

At first, it reminded me of the famous Ludo board game. Then, as I played, it started to get more interesting. I could guess some inspiration from the Hades video game (as far as the story, perks mechanic, and some GUI choices goes?). Anyways, a really nice and interesting blend of everything mentioned above. Creativity at the top!

Nice idea making a virtual board game

As a fan of board games I really liked the idea, it's refreshing as it is different from most games in the jam.
It has a great atmosphere too which could be pushed further with more visuals in the maps.

Pretty fun turn based game. Got really unlucky with dice rolls. Always getting 1 step ahead of the finish point. Good job!

Very well-designed game. Very atmospheric. Procedural generating maps are working nicely. I couldn't understand if the bad guys follows us though.  Well Done!

Developer

The original plan was for them to follow you, but I couldn't find any AI or NavMesh solutions that fit the unusual node map layout. I tried coding my own, but at this point in time I can only say they'll eventually find their way towards you, otherwise they'll be wandering around.
