Assets: about half of them are made by me and my friend, the rest are from the free assets pack Generic Dungeon Pack by Estúdio Vaca Roxa. Music is NOT MINE (I forgot to add this), the song is "Signal To Noise" by Scott Buckley

This was actually a really fun little game. I ran through it start to finish three times, one time I missed an orb, and the other two times I wanted to see if catching the illusionist was based on how fast you went, but after reading other comments realized that wasn't a thing. Very good job on the whole thing! Feel free to give our game a try as well.

Yea, really sorry that I could not develop the Illusionist fully due to time shortage. However I will definitely update this game and finally have a face off with her at the end!

A really well-made platformer!

A few things I really liked about the game,

the single wall jump is something I've never seen in a platformer before, 

however, it's the best move to sequence break levels, it's just satisfying to jump on a wall and skip platforms, it's not easy, yet it's a lot of fun!

After finishing the game I got  4/5 orbs, so I went back and replayed the game to get the fifth one, the wall jump just made me go yes.

The sword movement is really cool, swinging it around is a lot of fun, and I don't think it's intentional, but you can attack with it from behind walls (another reason for why I love sequence breaking the levels in this game).

The art is really great, I loved the cute character design.

As far as opinions go, I think this is the best 2D platforming platformer game I've played in this jam!

btw I am aware of the slashing through wall. It was not intended at first, but then I just chose to prioritize other stuffs because it's not game breaking, and actually would be a bit weird if you are in a diagonal angle to an enemy and there's a tiny bit of block corner in between that prevents damaging, so I just left it as is.
It's not a bug, it's a feature, I dare say ;)

I felt the movement is too quick or I might just be bad at platforming hahaha

Nice game. I'm not sure if this is intentional, but I found being unable to reveal secrets and attacking at the same time a bit inconvenient in later levels where there are a lot of cannons. Also In one level where the entrance is at the bottom I frequently accidentally jumped out of the level into previous one.

1. Being unable to reveal secrets and slashing at the same time is intended for making the stages more challenging.

2. The entrance part was due to my bad camera confiner placement. I was nearing the submission so I missed that xD.

I'll be updating the game in the future, and that would be fixed.

A really unique idea and implementation of a simple mechanic into a fully fleshed out game!

Really good implementation of the theme into a platformer with a simple yet effective story mixed into a tutorial. I was hoping that there would be more types of enemies though instead of just turrets. Like how the illusionist could be a boss fight at the end. Though it still makes for a good short and sweet experience. And thanks again for playing my game on stream!

I intended to add more lore and content where you actually face the illusionist, but I didn't have enough time. So I stalled that and will be updating the game in the future (100% will, trust me). You can follow to receive updates, and also thanks for the comment!

A very nice platformer indeed. The controls were neatly done, and music is what made the game even more fun. Would be even better if we could catch the illusionist in the end.

Not bad overall! A pretty nice platformer -- definitely felt somewhat difficult in the later levels. Good work!

Pretty decent platformer, visuals and SFX were nice. Level design does need some work, some levels just become a grid of bullets flying at the player. I like the attempt at striking a balance between being able to attack the bullets or see the level. You might want to consider a game over screen, since atm death is kind of meaningless.

Thanks for the feedback and the rate! My intentions were just giving the player a death count. Deathcount can be treated as a scoring system, and also dying would mean that you waste some time respawning  and re-running the room. If you didn't notice, there's a timer that records your time (since the moment you click Start or Restart), which contributes to speedrunning competition between players.

Also, thanks for noticing such small details about my game that I tried to implement!

Fun story and game design! I really like the use of the cursor to reveal hidden objects made me check every corner of every room just so I don't miss a jump!

I have to say, this is probably the best execution of the "reveal stuff with your cursor" idea. It's great that, since you have to swing your sword, you don't just look ahead of you all the time, and boi do I like myself some good checkpoints! It bugged me a little that not everything was in the same resolution, but just a little. Also, even though you didn't compose it yourselves, great choice of music.

the main mechanic is pretty interesting, it really shines when you have enemies on the screen so you can just keep the spell on all the time. But without the enemies it feels like it is missing something, like a trade off or something. I couldn't pass that one block platform on the place with that floating orb. so might be that there is something like it after that.  so I went back and finished it, that last room is pretty challenging and fun, with all the enemies and platforming combined. I feel like it needed more enemies variety tho. 

the art style is really charming, pretty nice game.
