I have grown to really appreciate the level that comes with 3D games and getting it to feel just right but with that also comes another challenge of optimisation. Im not going to lie, where the performance suffered the gameplay picked up in a few areas. I loved being able to speed by and smash into robots, that was crazy fun, I would of loved some explosions or sound effects too if there was time to fit it in. Loved the approach, just need some optimisation work :)

Cool game. I am always impressed when I see 3D games in Game Jams. You must have put a lot of work into the different kinds of robots.

Ayyoo love the car movement. I enjoy crashing into stuff

My computer can't handle smoothy with it, too much rigidbodies...
Explosion force was really impressive/

Fun, simple and satisying

Movement was really enjoyable

Submitted

That was seriously fun! I didn't know how to kill the big robot though.

Developer

Well that's the thing you can't. It was meant as a feature, to add variety. Thank for playing, btw

Definitely could use some more polish, but I enjoyed running the robot dudes over. Being able to cross gaps at the cost of health is a cool idea!

Developer

Yeah, I fell into trap of changing movement scheme on last day, and had to reshuffle whole level to accommodate for it. Which cost me a time to do any meaningful polish.

My only complaint is that the score is obstructing the view. Otherwise, pretty fun

Developer

Yeah, it was pretty stupid to put in there.

great game,  smashing doll robot is very well done. can you kill the big black robot ?

Developer

Thanks for playing. No, that big robot can't be killed. Just wanted to add little variance.

The car controlled really smoothly and it was fun to drive. I would move the score part of the hud to the left because it can block the player view in the center. Good game!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, one friend of my identified error, where the score is lover then it supposed to be. Nevertheless good point, score needs to go to the left. Thanks for playing.

I like the idea, but it was hard for me to tell what was going on. It seems like you can float in the void, but burn? Also, never could tell what the repair icon in the bottom left was for. Ran into a big blue guy and he just sort of slapped me around until I died. Love the art though!

Developer(+1)

I got an idea that instead of constraning movement with colliders I made it leathal instead. Thanks for playing.

Ah, I would have expected to fall off the map and be re spawned but  your solution does work, just felt a little unintuitive to me :)

Pretty satisfying to ride around and run into robots ! Maybe you could make them a little bigger (or your car) to make it easier to smash a whole row in a single go. Impressive to have a procedurally generated world in such a short time period ! (also it runs absolutely fine in browser)

Developer

Good point as smashing robots is main activity I may well bring it closer to the player. Thanks for playing.

the game is poorly optimized (and I know you can because your using unity). I don't see how theres a limitation, and is pretty boring, sorry. Im only just being honest.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I was afraid using so many skinned meshes with animations and ragdolls would be too much. Even tried to do simple optimization with fog, turning off distant objects, etc. In the end I haven't really time to do it properly, as build time and editor refresh time increased substentionally limiting number of creative decisions I could do in an hour. Had jet to test it on older computer today to realize how bad the performance actually is.

and not really that old too, sixteen gigs ram with 3400g. I can relate, this is my first game jam too and I couldnt remove any minor bugs in the time frame, I feel you fam
